Through talent, mindset, or perhaps for the love of the sport...Who in your opinion were the fighters who seemed to excel 'naturally' in boxing...?
Ray Arcel once said that everything came instinctively for Roberto Duran...

Emile Griffith.
Just a few fights into his pro career, he looked like he already had all his tools working 'n sinc.

Roberto Duran is the first to come to mind here. He was born to fight in every way.
I will say that I don't remember seeing a superstar fighter (or really any fighter for that matter) who loves fighting as much as Pacquiao.

Rocky was just about tougher than anyone....but a natural ? No way...Goldman manufactured him from almost the ground up...They say Rocky looked awful starting out.

Rocky had literlly everything you need to be a success from the get-go aside from boxing ability. That's as rare as someone with God-given ability in my view.
He didn't have to be taught pain-management, durability, he was as strong s an ox from the word go, aggressive as he would ever be, a natural winner, threw mean with everything he had.
They taught Rocky less than they taught most men in my view.

People say they used to laugh at Rocky's awkward stance and they tore him down and rebuilt him...but left the Suzie Q right where it was.

Fair enough. He certainly had power at the very start from the sound of it.

Really surprised over so many posts, nobody -- 'specially from New England -- has chimed in with Willie Pep's name. He could do what he did at the height of career from the first day he stepped in to a gym.

In a way, yes...but you can't manufacture desire, heart, grit, determination and work ethic. Marciano had all these in spades. I think he's a good pick.
I'd add the Manassa Mauler as well. Pacman from modern times. Guys like Johnny Tapia, Erik Morales and the like too.

Eckhard Dagge. That guy even loved to get punched, he let his opponents beat him up for the first half of his fights before he started to fight back.
