Tomorrow, Wednesday, from around 7pm GMT, Willie Limond has kindly agreed, according to his brother, to appear on this forum to chat with fans and answer questions.
I thought it would be a good idea to post some questions now, in case some of us cannot make it tomorrow, which Willie can answer.:good

Congratulations Mr. Limond.
I just have two questions, does Khan have a suspect chin in your opinion? If not for the injury, you seemed to be getting the best of him and may well have won the bout.
Is the hype warranted therefore seeing as the true top World Class opponents are a heavy step up from the domestic class that you and Khan both are competing in at the moment?

Willie, I very much enjoyed the fight!:happy Very exciting!:happy I was jumping up and down when you KDed Khan, shouting: "Kill him, Willie!"
But first of all let me say how proud I was of the way you approached this fight. I listened to your interviews and was impressed. You were confident yet kept your feet on the ground.
The talk you talked, you actually walked in the ring! Well done, mate! You made us proud!:happy
Some questions:
1. What was your strategy for this fight and how did you train specifically for it? What did you expect Khan's strategy would be?
2. After you KD'ed Khan, you took your foot off the gas a bit, and gave him some room to breathe? Was that because you needed a break too or was it a mistake? Had you jumped him then and there, might you not have finished him off?
3. After he KD'ed you, you hanged in there very bravely! Did you start feeling he had you beaten?
4. Had your corner not pulled you out, would you have gone in thinking that you could still win this?
5. What do you remember most about the fight?
6. What did ****** tell you after the fight, when he was shaking your hand, just before the decision?
7. Did you have a chat with Khan about the fight straight after or in the meantime? If so, what did Khan say to you and what did you say to him?
8. What are your plans now? Whom will you fight next?
Thanks, mate, and Good Luck!:good

Hi Willie
Well done...that was a kracker of a fight with khan
We heard plenty of reports of noses and jaws being broken...what actually happened?
Did you agreewith your corners advice to retire....i have to say you did look shaky before the end of the round.
Well done though sir, you are a credit to the sport.

Great fight Willie. You did what you said you would. You took the fight to him but it simply wasn't meant to be.
1) Be 100% honest (or at least try), would you say it was your power that Khan in or his chin! Are you hitting harder at 135? Were you thinking more about power and getting him out of there?
2) How hard does Khan hit? Harder than Arthur? or is it his speed that does you in?
3) Are you able to fight on? Will you fight on? and whats next for Willie Limond?

Hard luck in your last fight Willie and welcome to the forums .
Unlike everyone else here I'd like to get away from your last fight and ask what you consider you're best win .
Now I assume it is going to be between the often avoided Tseveenpurev , Kevin O'Hara and Allotey .
Obviously the Allotey fight would mean more in the sense it was for the Commonwealth title but regardless of titles which would you feel is your best win ?
Finally how is the ear ? , and when do you plan on making a return ?

Yes congratulations on your fight.
1.Is Amir Khan the best boxer you have ever faced, skill wise, speed and accuracy.
2. Did you adopt more of a counter punching style, to deal with Amir Khans speed. Technically did you adapt during the fight.

Willie Limond- firstly, let me say you rock. A Scot knocking Khan down, the SNP coming into power and John Smeaton becoming an international star all in the space of a few months? This is truly a great time to be Scottish.
My main question is- did the hype and focus on you before the fight end up becoming a positive or negative thing for you when it came to boxing in the ring?

First off, congratulations on an excellent match - shame the count was iffy, but I'm proud seeing a fellow Scot give such bravery.
My question: as you're not known for one-punch, concussive KO power, do you think you were hitting harder than usual for the Khan fight due to the more focussed training camp, or was it that Khan seemed particularly fragile?
alright mate hows things, i think im hitting harder at 135lbs tnan when i was fighting at 130lbs i just caught khan on the right place but he recovered well

Hello Mr.Limond.

I cheered myself horse. Well done.

Alreet Willie, unlucky with your performance, keep fighting like that on you will progress the way you want to.
2 'Qs
*1. Are you planning on staying at lightweight? And if so, how about some domestic battles against the winner of McCallister/Docherty?
*2. Who is your favourite boxer of all time, both world-wide & British, and have you modelled yourself on any other boxers techniques.
Cheers, youre keeping us Scots proud mate.

To be honest Strikey, it would surprise me more if anyone from these shores said that they were NOT a Hatton fan. Just been looking at some other Hatton threads, & seen many of my fellow scots wanting to go over & cheer Ricky against Mayweather.

Apparently, you see a sombrero fly into the ring and it was supposed to be Hatton that threw it in celebration. But then as soon as you see Hatton climb onto the ring apron he has his sombrero on his back and after congratulating Gomez he goes over to Arthur puts his arm around him and speaks with him.

from one angle you see Hatton climbing into the ring under the ropes. All you see from the other angle is that same sombrero landing beside Arthur.
I'm pretty sure as Hatton is climbing in the ring the Sombrero comes off thanks to the rope, by accident. As you say Hatton goes to check on Arthur a few times. I'm not a fan of Ricky but I don't think he's a cunt at all.

I watched arthur-gomez again. As Hatton gets in the ring a hat hits the fall. I don't think Hatton threw the hat at him as he lay there. I strongly doubt Hatton would be cuntish enough to throw his hat at someone who lay there like that. VERY hard to believe I must say. Plus you don't disrespect someone like that and then commiserate him.
I watched it from another angle yesterday on Youtube but it has been pulled. You see Hatton climb onto the ring apron and his hat is clearly on his back.

:lol::lol:
I found the clip just to show some Khan fans what Gomez looked like fighting. And then at the end I saw Hatton climb up and sure enough his hat was on his back and he goes over to Arthur. So I thought I would post it and some cunt has pulled it.

****** has been going mad, wiping ANY footage of Arthur on Youtube. Wiped all my pals Arthur stuff too, including the Arthur montage, which I felt was a bit below the belt as it was only short clips of his assorted fights:-(
I think its counterproductive to be honest, but theres no point in whining, cos Sportsnetwork are on the warpath & nobodys gonna stop 'em.

Not a fan of gers, how could I support a team who loves the Union jack? Not a fan of 'tic either, how could I support a team who loves the irish tricolour? Neither Old firm team is scottish enough for me Im afraid.

You obviously havent been doing much studying then if you refer to us as 'scotch' & think our national drink is Skol:lol:
Or you are just plain thick. Im going to give you the benefit of the doubt though for now, as I generally like the welsh, great people when I was in Barry as a young lad(oo err!), & made me feel very welcome. Now why cant you & JC be a bit more like real Welsh people, instead of obnoxious twats?
