They could fight the entire 12 rounds in a sleeping bag there would be so much hugging going on :yep
Hopkins would win by DQ. Although the ref would "professionally" ignore all of Hopkins holding and hitting, 'butting, ball-tickling and whatever else he fucking does while he is spooning his opponents...Norman Stone wouldn not and the fight would end with Stone positioning a steel chair over Hopkins' head 1/2 way through the 7th round. In a fight where there are a total of 12 clean punches landed thru 6 :good

I am sure it would brake the compubox record for clinching and hugging.

Would be an unbearably bad fight. Hopkins is boring and has been for a long time. He used to be a good fighter to watch, but post Trinidad has been a cure for insomnia in most cases and as he gets older it gets worse. The "purists" make excuses for it, he's still effective but boring as hell

I beg to differ, I think Hopkins would lose to be honest. RJ beat him really and truely b/c he was outright faster than him, handspeed and footspeed. Hopkins hasnt looked good to me since he came up to LHW. He clinches a lot now. Hopkins when he was at Middleweight use to use his legs and boxing ability. To outbox opponents. SInce he came to LHW, I think he looks sluggish, he is tiring easier. And frankly I think if he goes to Heavyweight, he will look worst than he does now IMO. RJ seems to adapt to weight better, he had the speed to stay on the outside to outbox Ruiz. Hopkins doesnt have that kind of speed, I see a lot of clinchin, and Hopkins gettin tired from all of the CLinching, b/c he will be the smaller man in the fight. And eventually losing IMO

Why would Hopkins give Ruiz a shot? There is no reason....

Ruiz would knockout Hopkins.

Ruiz would beat Hopkins. Jones was only able to do what he did because of his speed and movement. Hopkins would be standing in front of a much larger man. If he clinched Ruiz, he would get tossed around like a rag doll later in the fight.

No way Hopkins would beat Ruiz. All the clinching would only work against Hopkins, and he just isn't fast enough to do what Roy did.
