View Full Version : Samil Sam - McCall
What was Sam thinking coming into the fight like that? Fat, lazy and riciculously out of shape. It wasn't that McCall was particularly good, Sam was just that bad. McCall is old and slow these days, the top contenders would have a field day with him. Sam needs to retire he isn't even good enough for the European title in this shape and he doesn't seem to want it anyway otherwise he would try some training in the gym, if he has actually seen in a gym in the few months. A disgrace.

I was suprised to read McCall won. Not that i'm deeply impressed by SSS, but i'd seen one of McCall's recent fights and he looked horrible. I thought Sam would take a close decision.

i was 100% certain that SSS would win. he had it all on his side: location, promoter, youth.....
and i thought he would be very motivated in front of his home fans.
for him to throw it away like that.....i just dont know. guess he will never amount to anything.
i am after a copy of this turkish bill
can anyone help?

McCall is past his prime, and even in his prime he wasnt a top gun.
I for my part would bet my money on Solis if he fought McCall in his third pro fight.
Anyway!
As for Samil Sam he is a slow plodder who cant hold a candle to any top european heavy.Nevertheless he is tough, and should have been able to beat that old man McCall if he had properly trained.
What's more he desperately needs a good coach. He used to train with some of the best trainers in game when he had a contract with Kohl and Sauerland. Now his coach is an unknown American.
His mental attitude towards his job seems to have deteriorated ,too.

McCall and Sinan Samil Sam looked very impresiv. McCall like young man 30 years not 42 and Sam with 114 kg dancing in the ring like to be in 100 kg. The rematch will be good fight. I know that the fight will happen because McCall`s need money.
Sam has always been known as a guy whoīs in the rankings and can make a fight, but will never win anything beyond the mundane. McCall has defeated Lennox Lewis. Need I say more? Itīs like comparing Holyfield with Ibragimov. Donīt be surprised to see their fight producing the same result, with the old warrior beating a fringe champ.

Sinan Samil Sam is a hard name to remember.
I for my part would bet my money on Solis if he fought McCall in his third pro fight.
Well, depends for how many rounds the fight would be scheduled. Of course Solis would win a 4 rounder but I can't see why McCall would agree to that because that takes away all his strengths, would be pure lunacy. He obviously isn't at this stage of his career yet, where he sells himself as a trialhorse for up-and-comers. And Solis can't win in a 10 or 12 rounder against McCall right now, you can bet your money on that.

Obviously I have seen the fight, and Sam's performance was a disgrace. If you don't like the truth, that's your problem. Look at the pictures of the fat guy for god's sake.

Haha! Good point,nbt!
Lets say 6 rounds!
Props to McCall for his victory over Sam who fought in his backyard.I for my part thought that Sam would be good enough to win a point decision against that old geezer.McCall proved me wrong.Anyway! I am not sold at all on McCall. He looked horrible and pathetic against Gomez who fought on the undercard of Sam vs McCall.Gomez easily outboxed his slow opponent dominating the second three parts of his encounter with McCall. Then he was running out of gas,and McCall had some good moments, too.
A pity that Gomez prefers partying to sweating in a gym.God has blessed him with so much talent, and the lazy Cuban is wasting it with open eyes.
However, I still hope that Gomez will get a shot at a world title. He deserves one despite his personal weaknesses. He has defeated quite a bunch of good names in his career.
McCall did more to win the fight. I had it 115:113 in favor of McCall. SSS started well but faded away in the second half of the fight. He held too much. I guess the cut played his role. It is hard to tell that McCall will be a huge factor form now on. He was not that impressive.
