Thats an interesting fight, seeing it from a purely domestic level, of course, I saw seferi give Bidenko a run for the money, I think it was Bidenkos come back fight after getting brutalized by Virchis, Seferi obviously a touch too short and too light to compete at heavy if he hoped to go all the way, but drodz is his own weight class. Seferi looked game and came charging in, trying to close the gap, drodz still is the fav for me in this one, a hard puncher at cruiser, I thought he was leaving himself a tad open when fighting an all-universum internal stable duel against I forgot whom, got up from the floor and still beat the guy, seferi is not a big puncher so might not be able to capitalize from it. A pity rostocks just a tad too far away from my place to go there and watch it

The fight betwen Lubos Suda - Nuri Seferi is cancelled. But good news coming from team Spotlight of Germany that Russian, Grigory Drozd will fight Albanian, Nuri Seferi at 15 September at Rostock. The fight will be for WBO Asia Pacific Cruserweight title and will be in the same card of Brahmer - Veit and Firat Arslan who will defand his title WBA Interim Cruserweight title for first time. Arslan opponent is not named yet.

Why was it cancelled the fight with Lubos Suda??

Because the team of Suda was bankrot, and they cant arrange this great fight.

Seferi was last week in the Albania and took Albanian citizenship and know he will fight with Albanian flag with Drozd in the Rostock. Seferi offer Suda to fight in the capital of Albania in Tirana but Suda refused to fight there, for that Seferi dident want to lose time and get offer from Drozd and will fight with him in the Rostock.

yes,i know seferi: hes tough and powerful. although after his close losses against bakhtov,popov,bidenko and juck he isnt so motivated anymore as he used to be.

anyway, he should be careful not to end as a prizefighter. hes a nice guy and it would be a shame o watch him become a yourneyman. he still has the potential to become champion

No way Toney , Seferi is very tough guy. I talk with him and he is felling very good. I expect KO by Seferi.

Seferi is one of the best cruser fighter, he beats Bekhatov and Popov but was robbed. With two operations ( one in stomac and left hand) entered to fight one of the best prospect today Huck, and he showed great fight for 10 rounds.

Definitly Alexeev will lose from Seferi. Im sure for that, i know him very well. For Drozd i will not be sure but Alexeev will be victime and Universum will lose this time.

nuri seferi has an iron chin, but he lacks skills. grigory droz can outbox him........but he has to watch his stammina and conserve his strength. he goes in and tries to knock him out he is in trouble. if huck couldnt do it.....then i dont think he can either.

but if he boxes carefully he should win a UD.

About two years ago I read somewhere that he had been on the point of signing a contract with Don King and moving across the pond to fight out the USA.I dont know why that contract didnt come off,or whether that piece of news was really more than just a rumour or not.
Seferi is a teak tough cookie who likes to play it rough,but he lacks the neccessary skills to be able to compete with his better known rivals at cruiser weight.
The Swiss based Albanian is a kind of gatekeeper at cruiser weight.

What a pity!

The Albanian would have been a stiff test for Alexeev-at least for the first 4-5 rounds.Seferi is a big cruiser,can take a punch,and he is bloody rough.
I dont think that Seferi would have been able to go the full route against Alexeev,but the former Russian amateur star has to learn that he cant give everyone inside a ring short shrift taking his foes out within 2-3 rounds.
