Hi everybody, Charles here. I was wondering what everybody knows about Matt Skelton. Every month I write a bio. article on a new fighter and where I think he stands in his division, etc. For the month of October I have chosen Matt Skelton. I need to know everything there is to know about him. I already have all of the information I need regarding his mma/kickboxing history. What I need is information regarding his boxing and home life. If any of you have a way of contacting him I would be most grateful if you would share this information with me. I am somewhat of a fan of his and would love to write a good piece on him. Thank you very much.

wikipedia is probably your best bet but I cant see someone being interested enough to even write up a wiki for him............ if you do find one though make sure you have some pro plus, two potskh of coffee and a few cans of red bull as it'll be a boring read:deal

But why would you wanna put yourself through that:huh

Pehaps all the good ones have already been done??? Something like that. I have been doing this for a while now and believe me, he is not the first on my list of boxers to choose from, but I will admit, I like the guy. He seems cool, and I like the ruggedness of him. He can really take a punch and keep on coming. Yeah I checked wikipedia, but there isn't much there. I was really hoping that somebody had a way of contacting him.

He's a gentleman but a poor representative of heavyweight talent.

He lives in Bedford I think?

DO you have a website? Get on to his promoter if you do, I cant imagine people are lining up to talk to Skelton so you might get to e-mail him some questions or something.

Nope, count me in too.

Maybe more as a person than a fighter, but I do root for ol' Morph.

I like Skelton.

He has had some interesting fights too, Williams I was very intense as Skelton tried to intimidate Danny early on.

Keith Long was it, that was a good honest scrap too.

The Ali shuffle in Williams II was perhaps a bit much though.

On the personal stuff, a friend of mine comes from Bedford, where Skelton is a local celeb, often seen out and about. Seems to be well liked in his hometown.

He's actually 107........

He loaned his WBU belt to a friend for some sort of fancy dress party aswell and when he didn't get it back he just left it at that. Didn't give a shit cause it's only WBU.

What website do you do bio's for wouldn't mind a read?

Charles White

Actually I write them for my college newspaper. I live in Washington State, and there are absolutely no fight fans out here that I can find, so I am trying to spread the good word on upcoming fights and fighters. I do articles on boxing in general, and every month I do a fighter bio.

Why Skelton then, if you dont mind me asking?

Why Skelton then, if you dont mind me asking? Well, to tell you the truth, he wasn't my first choice, but I have done bios of a lot of other heavyweight fighters and to tell you the honest to God truth, I am a bit of a fan. I know he is no world beater by any stretch of the imagination, but I like his rugged style and granite chin for some reason. Reminds me of a bar room brawler or something, I don't know.

Hi Charles, I know he is a member of Bedford Fitness First, I saw him training in there whilst I was working there. You could phone them and ask them to contact him or leave your details with them to give him. He gets on well with all the gym staff and is very down to earth.

Hope this helps mate. :good
