Just heard a rumour that Manny Stewart is trying to get Andy Lee a shot at European middleweight champ S.Sylvester - its a big step-up for Lee but i think he can win

It's very early(I think most of us Irish were looking to Sylvester v Duddy first) but I really don't rate Sylvester or his chin so with another fight or two if Lee continues to improve as he has done I'd give him a very good chance .

Andy Lee will win this IMO.
Lee is an awesome prospect. I have kept a really close eye on him.
Lee would beat Duddy too i reckon.

Sylvester is no mug, its a massive massive step up from what Lee has been fighting.

Bit early to dream of such fights. Lee and Duddy seem to be not ranked by the EBU (currently).

They both have a couple more step up fights planned before stepping up to euro level. But it does depend on how much the handlers rate Sylvester.
Personally I think Sylvester is too good for them both still. He may be very average and on the way down but he can make it hard for fighters especially ones who have not faced decent opposition. Duddy should get first shot in maybe two more fights and I would expect him to win then but not quite yet.

Wouldn't put Lee in there just yet. Very early. Duddy has just pulled out of a bout later this month because of an eye injury from his last fight. But i'td be good to see him get a shot soon. If he can't get Sylvester than that Finnish bloke, Askinein or whatever, could be a decent scrap.

A lot of that has to do with only fighting in America(fighters must have at least some fights in Europe in recent times to be eligible) now that Duddy is going to have some fights at home and Lee has at least one scheduled in Ireland that may change .

I would give Lee another 4 or 5 fights, then he would be in a good position to beat all but the elite middleweights, which he could probably do in 18 months or so.

The bigger question is will they be kept apart while one goes for the title or as it seems they are both going for the belt at the same time will they clash?
