Cearly Woods. One of the most underrated british fighters of the last 20 years. Brave effort against a PEAK Roy Jones, great performances against Hoye and Gonzalez when people where writing him off, and a great trilogy with Glen Johnson. One of the few men to beat Johnson legitimately.

I just wish he'd have made more of an effort against Tarver, I thought he was gonna win that, but he seemed to make no attacking moves at all. Very unlike him.

WOW, I think quite the opposite. Woods is mediocre at world level in every department. He had the balls to fight a prime jones but got hammered, then fought a succession of mediocre champions. hoye was a good performance against a fighter who had never beaten anyone, granted he was mooted to be good, but woods showed us otherwise. Gonzales was hard as nails but I didnt see many picking him as he always fell short at the highest level. Bloood and guts with johnson, knocking back calzaghe thinking he was going to get a bigger payday then losing to a faded tarver. Not the most underated fighter of the last 20 years in my opinion. A bloody hardworking pro whos made the best of what he has got.

Gonzales twice (who has gone 3-3 since woods first fight)
DeLisle (for the second time - he was crap the first time)
A SD of Johnson

Not great, really. Still a crackin pro thoguh.


I liked woodhall. Wins over Branco, Sugar boy malinga, catley, nardiello and when you talk about achievment, well, they dont give Olympic medals away at a village fayre, plus, it was a certain Mr Jones Jr he lost to, and lets be fair, both jones and woodhall were better than the eventual winner! Doesnt have the volume of wins woods has, but i reckon p4p woodhall wouldve beat him.

On reflection, is his record better than Woods', win for win... hmmm... no probably not

Woods. Great guy as well. Achieved his success the hard way which is something often over looked when judging our world champions.

Woods is an incredible achiever, not a great fighter. Great fighters don't get one sided beatings at the hands of David Starie. His legacy is average at best with the win over a moderate champion in Johnson clearly his biggest. Woodhall was a very good stylist and I would put him slightly above Woods in regards of his achievements. Harrison despite been a anti social vermin is clearly the best fighter of the four.... I don't understand why Reid was included. He was terrible.

"Robbed" is a strong word for both those fights. Hardly Brodie Jorrin were they. I think I had Ottke up in the fight with reid at the end actually, the ref ruined that fight.

Woods probably achieved more but he did get 4 (?) title shots so great guy as he is the odds were in his favour to eventually get it and once he did I dont think he defended it against anyone he hadnt beaten or drawn with already (the might not be right but Johnson , Gonzalez and Delisle ring a bell). I go for Reid becasue as sadi elsewhere he got screwed TWICE in title fights.

Woodall is my fave of the bunch tho just on personality and style.

Harrison when he first appeared was great but you dont get to just piss it all away and still get the respect !

Robin Reid was definitely the most skilled of the bunch, Woodall or Woods probably had the best career. Harrison was a good fighter but a wasted talent.

Woods achievments are OK but he was gifted a decision against Johnson which I thought was disgraceful. His talent lets him down.

Ried was semi decent talent and semi decent achievment


Woodhall was a good talent and a little bit of an underachiever

I have Harrison in top spot as the most talented by far and he still was a 2 times FW champion who would have done so much more had he stayed on the rails. His earlier career performances were far more convincing and his talent was far clearer at the top level.

in terms of talent - achievement ratio it has to be woods. hardworking but averagely talented boxer who won a world title and defended successfully.
