Im not so sure about Hagler vs Lamotta being highly competitive, if fought in Hagler's day I mean.
It would be a great fight but I feel Hagler would win it clearly and Im sure most would pick him.

If we are talking about a fight where there might be a lot of debate about it and truly there are two sides to the argument each being as valid as each other...
Spinks vs RJJ maybe....Though id pick Spinks.

Dick Tiger v Jake LaMotta would be a total war.

I also would have liked to see Marciano/Frazier.

Hagler - LaMotta and Frazier - Holmes leap forth like a startled Gazelle. Imagine the sheer combined willpower of the latter combatants. Lord have mercy.

How about Wladimir Klitschko versus Vitali Klitschko?

It's never going to happen so I guess it qualifies as a fantasy fight.

Frazier - Marciano tops my list! Non-stop punching from both men.

It would depend on weight class, but I'll go with Roy Jones Jr. who is going to be tough for anyone at 160-200 to beat.

tyson - frazier

For the most competitive fantasy fight, you want even level skills, top chins to go the distance, consistent ring performers, and no style advantage. You might get a boring fight.

Dick Tiger v Jake LaMotta would be a total war.
Do you have a winner?...
I believe Tiger would be stronger, both have decent quickness with their hands...LaMotta is slicker and has a better jab.
I had always thought Tiger, but I'm giving LaMotta more consideration after looking at the Robinson film.
It's tough to call for me...

I have similair thoughts to yourself. They're both to big for the division really, these two, despite not being very tall. They are both as strong as bulls, but I think Tiger shadows it for strength and I think that would tell. It would be hell's bells.

I don't think the Robinson footage is the best way to gauge LaMotta's skills or potential against Tiger, as he was terribly weight-drained, past his prime, and looked generally like shit.

MARCIANO v FRAZIER

This fight has got split decision bloodbath all out war wrote all over it, I always make it 1 of my top 2 dream HWT matches together with Liston/Foreman but for competitiveness Marciano/Frazier edges it as I think it goes back & forth to likely last the distance where as Liston/Foreman is just as hard to choose a winner but likely ends in a KO which ultimately means the loser was less competitive I suppose.

Ps. I always thought that Hagler pre Mugabi vs Robinson pre Turpin would have been beautifull at 160 lbs aswell.

Other favourites of mine are.....

Duran/Chavez at 135 (This might actually be my all time p4p top mythical match but because of Durans size & power advantage, most do pick him as the winner & the thread says competitiveness so I went with Rocky & Joe purely based on that)
Arguello/Chavez at 130/135
Pryor/Chavez at 140
Duran/Pryor at 140
Whitaker/Duran at 135
Whitaker/Chavez at 135
Whitaker/Pryor at 140
Leonard/Hopkins at 160
Sanchez/Arguello at 130
Louis/Tyson
Holmes/Lewis
Saddler/Sanchez at 126
Saddler/Arguello at 130

Id better stop, there`s far too many but Marciano/Frazier gets my pick for the competitive factor but Id choose to view Duran/Chavez JUST in front of it for the all round skill factor.

My thread question choice is Rocky/Joe with Duran/Chavez 2nd.
My own personal choice is Duran/Chavez with Rocky/Joe 2nd.

Cant get much closer than that.

But I'd prefer to see Williams-Armstrong at 135.

"Generally looked like shit" is a pretty harsh judgement. But hey...if that's your call... so be it. But I'll strongly disagree. LaMotta displayed some very good skills defensively in that fight, and while I do agree he was weight drained, and he did visably fade in the second half of the fight. He had sparred nearly twice as many rounds as he had for any previous fight, and Robinson's right hands to the body had something to do with it as well IMO.

tyson - frazier

I'd go with Marciano - Frazie instead, since there's a greater risk that Tyson - Frazier would end in a early KO. When it comes to Frazier - Holyfield, I have Frazier as quite a clear favourite. It would be a war, though.

Alexis Arguello/Danny Lopez: These guys just missed each other at 126. Alexis vacated the WBA title and moved up just about the time Danny won the WBC version. AA was a bit green at 126 and Danny may have been the hardest hitting featherwieght of all time. I can see Danny forcing Arguello to work at a faster pace than he would like in the early going. Both fighters survive some scary moments over the first 5 rounds. After that Alexis would take over, but those first five rounds or so would be worth the price of admission!

1. Rocky Marciano/Bob Fitzsimmons

2. Jack Johnson/James Jeffries

All prime of course.
