mike tyson wasnt only a great boxer, he was a superbly conditioned athlete.
in his prime he was the total package. he could jab with the jabbers and fight with the fighters and all that without getting hit. thats a total package.
however it amazes me that a man who stands 5'11 inches tall could weigh 15/16 stones, still look soo good (without looking fat) and still have the agility of a cat. maybe its becos he is so big boned, God knows. if you lookat his face, you could see he has very little fat on his body, it is so finely shaped.
the guy is an awesome physical speciman.
these two videos show his physique

I read teddy atlas said Mike benched 350 pounds ten times with ease and he could've done way more but they didn't want him to rely on weights
I prefer this:

If it's true that's some serious shit. I have grave doubts however someone staying away from weights could do such a feat with "ease". I'll call BS on Atlas. I've trained with an ex heavyweight Australian powerlifting champ at 275 odd pounds and he wouldn't be doing such a feat "with ease".

i would never belittle Mike as a fighter. I believe Mike was the second coming of Tony Ayala Jr. so I have to go along with those who say he was great. when he first came onto the scene i was skeptical but seeing is believing. he was a great champion you cant take that away from him

I wonder if anyone messed with Mike in high school? I doubt it but I thought I once heard that he was very timid in his teen years

and according to his contemporaries he was a pretty shitty athlete in areas outside of boxing, not fleet of foot and a horrible basketball player.
strong as hell and a great boxer, though, that's enough more me.
