It's quite simple, what fighter do you wish you could see that you never will?

Of course Harry Greb is an obvious answer, but for me it's Joe Walcott.

I would love to see the 5'1'' demon in action. Always aggressive, and immeasurably strong, tough, and shockingly powerfull. All of the descriptions of him fascinate me.

As for fights, I would kill to see any part of the Burley-Williams series.

I wish there was more quality, extensive footage of Jack Johnson. I would really like to study him, especially his parrying skills.

Me too, I think it would settle the debate once and for all regarding who was the best pre-Louis heavyweight. Whever picked Barbados Joe as their choice, good stuff. :good

Count me in JT. I'd love to see more Robinson footage. The Fusari fight was at welterweight...but that was a very placid Robinson in that fight...Robinson was generally much more aggressive.

[Only registered and activated users can see links] it was becoming far harder for him to reach the WW limit around this time of his career, and thus much harder for him to fight at his best, so from what I understand of this fight, he was more or less just coasting.

This may seem strange wish, but i wish there were footage of Gunnar Barlund. I'd like to see his fight against Buddy Baer and maybe from other fights he fought in US too.

More footage of Jofre would be sensational as well, in his prime and of his featherweight comeback.

The absolute holy grail.

The footage that would tell you the most about the history of boxing technique.

Jem Mace

Mace developed all the key features of modern boxing, including combination punching, controling an oponent with the jab, finishing in the modern sense. He developed the point system of scoring, the three minute round, and esentialy inspired the Queensbury rules.

Incidentaly film of an elderly Mace sparring did exist but it was of course lost.

I wish there was footage of his fight with Saldivar.

There's footage of Darcy, quite a bit for the era actually. There's also footage of Miske. A round or two of his fight with Renault on the Dempsey card, shadowboxing, and a couple of seconds of his fight with Dempsey.
