Universum Box Promotions has many, many real good and promesing fighers like Chagaev, Dimitrenko, Boytsov, Alekseev, Balzsay, Inkin, Sturm, Gevor, Golovkin, Dzinziruk, Kotelnik and Sidorenko.
It is interesting to see that what will happend to Arslan and Virchis, who lost yesterday and to Gevor, who will surely lose to Asikainen in November. Will Universum invest money on these guys or will they lose their jobs?
If I was Kohl I would fire Arslan right away and feed Virchis to some of my own up and coming heavyweight (Dimitrenko or Boytsov) and then fire him. And Gevor... He still has hope, but after his November date with Asikainen he will be done. So, I would invest my money on the better and younger guys!

You seem to be far too sure that Asikainen beats Ghevor. It will be fun if it doesnīt happen.
Arlsan will have one or two fights against upcoming cruisers like Alexeev. He is still popular over here - expecially with the German-Turks - and so there can still be made some money.
Virchis will be fed to up and coming hws for the next 1 or two years and then retire.

Welcome to Finland! We can have a party after the bout! :happy

I see that you agree with me. Arslan and Virchis has no future.

You are not really picking Gevor over Asikainen? :patsch
I think Gevor said that he would retire from boxing if he can't beat a guy like Asikainen. Arslan has a decent turkish fanbase so if he doesn't retire he will get another chance at least at European level. I'd like t see him against the crude and braindead Huck for the European title, no doubt he could beat him.

wtf??? who will virchis be "fed" to among those "up and coming heavies"?????
dimitrenko?? the guy who got himself floored by that big punchbag timo hoffmann???
one of virchis right hands would do him.
who else?? boytsov?? no way.
or someone like kretschmann, kober, airich etc??? nope.
so name your guy.

Either one. Kohl could say to Virchis: "You can retire now or you can retire after making 50 000 euros by giving your name to some of our own boys record".

I think Virchis has a decent chance if he's matched with the right opponents. A guy like Peter might be a winable fight. He just needs an opponent who he can hit.

The Gevor in the form of the Abraham fight against the Asikainen of the Sylvester II fight any time. But I think the are pretty close in terms of chances.
For me itīs about 50:50 who will win. :)

Arslan still has a future, and i dont know about beating Huck. He's a young talented fighter.
In all honesty, Gevor´s best wins aren´t as good as Asikainen´s. This is displayed by the fact that The Ring magazine considers Asikainen as a world title threat, while Gevor is still not ranked by them. STILL, Asikainens best opponent has been Sylvester, standing 1-1 even in victories with him.
Gevor´s best opponent Abraham was a world champion, and he did good with him until his lights went off in the 11th. Gevor is possibly Asikainens best opponent, and he already looked beatable with Sylvester. So obviously there´s no point to think this wouldn´t be a good contest. Asikainen is just a slight favourite, because the fight is in Finland. Amin is still undefeated in Finland. His fight history in Finland looks very good, with huge UD over Di Giacomo and TKO over Campas. I think Amin will win a workout victory. 115-113. Gevor will surely complain about the decision, since he even complains about scorecards when he is knocked the fuck out. This guy says he will retire when he meets his match, and it´s easy to say so when you won´t accept it when you see it...

Why would you fire Arslan right away?
The guy is a former world champion and is obviously in the top echellon of the CW division, and not only that, he's a very hard working fighter, you don't come around that too often these days.
Virchis isn't getting any younger.. but he should do with a few recognized European fighters like SSS. Whom would you feed him to? They already tried that with Bidenko, and looked where he ended up, looking at the stars with his brains bashed in, Virchis is not by any means just roadkill.
Remember that Virchis had Chagaev on his bike for the latter rounds of their bout, he could quite easily upset a guy like Boytsov who is unproven.
Come on man, you're talking about a former world champion and a top20 heavyweight like they're pure garbage:patsch They're all obviously benefitial for the promotions.

Yeah but Virchis is nothing more than a fringe contender and so he should be a good stepping stone for the more talented fighters - and a possibility for them to prove themselves.

Neither Arslan or Virchis has the tools to beat a top 10 fighter in their division and Universum has a lot of fighters that can beat top 10 fighter. There is two good reasons and both guys have reached their primes. Neither will be better fighters in the future. Their are too old to get better.
So, what should Universum do with these guys?
Gevor is better tan Arslan and Virchis, but not very long. Asikainen will end his career.

Virchis was first to announce his retirement.

According to the news Virchis has called it a day.
Virchis a shot name who is an easy victim to his fellow stable mates??
You must be either joking or be quite delusional about this business.Money is the name of this business.
Virchis can end a fight any time.He is still a very dangerous fighter.Would be pure madness to match him with Boytsov who has the potential to be a future superstar.
We all know that Virchis is a very limited fighter, but matchmaking is a very important part of the pro business.Gomez's style was totally wrong for Virchis who just cant cope with mobile targets.
If he had fought Sam Peter instead of Gomez that night I for one would have put my money on the giant Ukranian. Someone like Sam Peter is tailor made for him. Styles make fights.
He isnt a shot bum,loewe.

Give me a break,toney!
Arslan has already beaten a top 10 fighter and Virchis for sure has the tools to beat some of the top 10 fighters.
Styles make fights.
Gomez ' style was wrong for Virchis.
Sam Peter, top 10 fighter, would be in hot water against Virchis.
And lets wait and see whether your compatriot will really be able to beat Gevor. I for my part doubt it. Gevor is the mentally tougher one of this pair.He is a true warrior who enters the ring to win by all means.Asikainen can punch, but he doesnt play in AA's league.Thats why I think that this upcomming fight will go the full route. And to be honest I cant really see Asikainen win a point decision over Gevor.I may be wrong of course.
