it looks like khans opponent on december 13 is gonna be gethin. i would be really impressed not only if gethin is indeed the opponent but even more if khan dealt with him because gethin is a decent operator

Gethin is pretty slow though, especially compared to Khan.
Don't get me wrong he's a very good comeback opponent, but for those thinking they'll see a repeat of Prescott you'll be disappointed.

I hope it is Gethin, a lot of what he does goes unnoticed and usually starts the fight the first few rounds 2nd best but he just keeps coming at and coming at his opponent wearing them down. He's an underrated fighter imo.

Pretty decent fight for both fighters. Khan needs to redeem himself and face an ok test and Gethin is on a run of upsets and is coming up against a guy recently exposed. Not ppv standard but a fight I would be willing to tune in for.

My thoughts exactly; Gethin is a good opponent to come back against. You still gotta favour Khan, even after the Prescott debacle, but Gethin is a live underdog.
However, it is most definitely not PPV worthy, not unless the rest of the card is stacked with good quality fights.

Yep. I doubt ****** has a fighter in his stable that is a worthy ppv headline fighter?
Khan vs Gethin could be a good fight. Khan is my pick to win but Gethin seems a stubborn, durable fighter who can obviously do more than abit going forward.

the only ppv worthy fight for khan would be precott 2.
****** will claim he moved the date so khan could have roach, but its really so they dont go against froch vs pascal on itv.

Hope not, I have a feeling he will make necessary adjustments and imoprove - I know he can;t strengthen his chin, but technical imoprovements to his skilss can be made to compensate...

Fighting like a professional would be a start :deal
In the amateurs you obviously have a headguard, and the referee gives you a ten count on your feet if you are anything like hurt. Obviously in the pro's the referee allows the opponent to.....
A. Knock you down
B. To finish you off
Khan didn't seem to realise that the best thing to do having been KD'd with 30s gone in a round is either......
A. Get on your bike
B. Cover up like fuck
C. Hold on for dear life (even lose a point if necessary)
He has a criminal tendency to drop his hands whilst throwing a punch - now against shot fighters with slow reflexes this won't be an issue (as proven mny times with many fighters) however against bangers or even moderate punchers you are going to be in serious trouble.
A lesson in inside fighting would also help.
I think Freddie Roach will be great, and won't allow any of the stupid 'outside influences' that appear to carry so much say at the moment - all these managers, advisors etc.
Feel a bit for Martin Gethin - doesn't always receive much credit or recognition. I think he is a decent opponent for Khan in the circumstances.
