TENDLER WAS GOOD ENOUGH TO BE CHAMP ,BUT HAD THE MISFORTUNE TO BE A CONTEMPORY OF LEONARD ,HE COULD HIT AND BOX,I CAN'T REMEMBER HOW MANY SOUTH PAWS BUCHANAN MET ,BUT I WOULD TAKE HIM TO WIN A DEC.

I don't know enough about Tendler to make a legitimate call on this, but I will say that I've seen film of Tendler where he makes Benny Leonard look less than spectacular.
