Heath Ellis wins vacant Pan Pac welterweight title!

Victorian Heath Ellis won the vacant IBF Pan Pacific welterweight title at Darebin Sports Centre on Friday night (26th Sept). It was Thai opponent Kongthawat Sorkitti’s 11th loss in row. But to his credit he went the distance, though Heath won all 12 rounds. All 3 judges had it 120/107.

Reigning Australian super bantamweight champ Daniel Iannazzo also had a conclusive UD result against a Thai opponent.

Yeah, without detracting from Heath's win, there's vacant titles all over the place! More titles than contenders - probably part of the reason why guys on massive losing streaks are getting championship opportunities.
