The Marciano-Patterson thread in the general forum let me think a bit about this one. What do you think were the hws who did best taking into account their size.

Imo it would look something like this:

Langford
Fitzsimmons
Marciano
Charles
Patterson
Louis
Ali
Holyfield
Dempsey
Tyson
Schmeling

Somethig like this is a pain in the ass. Because you always get someoe going

1 - Barbados Joe Walcott
2 - Harry Greb

Whose to say they are wrong, really?

Fitzsimmons would be #1 and on a p4p list Demspey has to be higher than that, I think.

Well, then take out everybody who wasn´t mainly a hw and thus eliminating guys like Barbados Joe and Greb while guys like Fitz, who won the title, and Langford who fought a great deal of his career there, would be in.

Your toughts?I think that it could easily be argued that Holyfield should be higher up on this list, but other than that, it looks pretty good.

What quality heavyweights did Walcott beat? As far as I know he only beat one man who was technically speaking a heavy, and that was a guy who was for from being world class.
