He got the UD over Sam.

He might never be a world champion again, and he's not on par with Foreman when it comes to older guys dominating the sport... But come on. Mans 42 years old now and still going strong.

And he weighed 236 against Sam! That's 23 pounds less than he weighed against Yanqui Diaz six months ago.

I'm proud of him. Might sound weird, but after everything the mans been through... Yeah. :yep

Honestly I had completely ignored McCall over the years for his unusual behavior and lack of conditioning. However when I saw his photo of the weight in I said to myself "maybe this guy is serious and wants one last shot." I was surprised to see McCall had slim down. If he continues to stay in shape and keep distractions out of his psyche anything is possible.

If he recaptures any title I'm going to piss myself with glee.

Proud might be too strong a word...

But he did an interview with (I think) Secondsout.com about seven months ago, and it did turn my opinion around about him. Far from the image of him as borderline deranged, he came across as an intelligent guy that's been 'through the fire' and had a real focus about what he wanted to do.

So I would say I am pleased for the guy, yeah. I think it's a fairly long shot but I'd be cool if he could get a title belt again.

mccall showed tremendous willpower and of all the comebackers he is probably the man to man to watch. i mean evander is shot, golota will lose soon or later and moorer, morrison, and the rest of the bunch pisses me off. mccall beat a good man in his homecountry and i am looking forward to see him fight for the championship once again.

i really hope he gets one last shot, would be awsome for him to banish his demons and win a belt again.

Personally I was absolutely thrilled for him; especially that they gave him a fair points victory in Sam's backyard. He seems to have put in all the work, and deserved the victory for that. I always thought his first bout with Lewis was stopped a tad early, but props to the man. Of all the comebackers, I like him the best, though I'd be scared for him against Vitali.
