Widdow does, surely!
So does Kolya, so he can say Kostya Tszyu lost to the sensational Ricky.
So does Freddy, much like Kolya.
WE ALL WANT RICKY TO WIN!

i want ricky to win , i don't know if mayweather will lay on the ropes like he did for delahoya , i expect to see him try to keep it in the middle of the ring , i just hope ricky can get to his body , i think if he can he has a shot of stopping floyd , if he can't it could be a long night , but either way im pulling for ricky

I have no problem with people rooting for either guy to win no matter where they're from. However, I want to know who is honestly willing to put money on Hatton?

I want Hatton to win but when it comes to my money I have to put it on who I truly think will win and not necessarily who I want to win. My money goes on Mayweather.

Over two years ago I made a prediction circling the Hatton-Tszyu contest. I picked Hatton to win that contest.
Afterwards I wrote an article on how Hatton would beat Mayweather should they ever meet. I have not swayed from that belief.
His speed, forward motion and grab style will give Mayweather trouble. More trouble than a 35 year old Shane Mosely ever would.
My pick is Ricky Hatton by decision.

I def want Hatton to win. Who wouldn't? Mayweather is a loud-mouth, idiot. I dunno why anyone would root for that guy.

im very cautious as to who i bet on , i want ricky to win but betting logically floyd would be the one i'd have to bet on , the guy is so talented , but i just could never root for him because of the way he acts / and carries himself , i want hatton to win but i wouldn't bet on it
I'm going for hatton, but i have a feeling i will feel sorry for floyd after the fight if he takes too much of a beating, win or lose i respect floyd for not retireing and facing a prime beast like hatton.

Hey man, I'm just hoping for a good fight. I have been eager for this to happen simply because Hatton's style will force Floyd to fight. Regardless of who wins, I think we will get to see the best of each fighter. That said, I would like Hatton to win, b/c I'd like to see PBF humbled.

go ricky!! i'd rather see PBF's face busted up though. but a win by whatever would be sweet. especially if pbf loses by a controversial decission. oh man that would be awesome to see him mad about that.

This feud might turn into a trilogy.

I'll be rooting for Hatton. He get's major props from me for generally being a class act, something that Mayweather lacks completely. His mouth deserves a fist in the worst way.
I also have tremendous respect for Hatton taking the fight in Vegas. That's a real fighter for you unlike that Welshman who only take meals at his own table.

Tampa, FL checking in, that's a big '10-4' for Hatton. I don't care what anyone think's about Ricky's fighting style, even though he's not always exciting, he's a class individual. PBF could've been our generations SRL but his mouth has kept that from happening...

Mayweather has more talent, no doubt about that, but does he have the heart for a really painful punch up with a monster like Hatton? That's the key to this fight. Remember Honeyghan v Curry? Curry was supremely talented but didn't have the heart for the heat Honeyghan brought that night

If you're looking for Hatton to win because Floyd doesn't show enough heart, you're going to be disappointed. Both guys have tremendous heart. So I doubt heart will be a factor. It's gonna come down to skill and execution. Personally, I don't like Hatton's chances in this fight. I've seen Hatton fight a few times, and I don't think he has the skill or the ability to beat Floyd. But you never know, Hatton is very tough and is 43-0 for a reason.

Nice post Reg........Im a massive Hatton fan but Im also a realist.........From a technical point of view Ricky cannot live with Floyd , Then again who can.....???........However If Hatton can get Floyd into his type of gritty scrap I think he has a great chance......Whatever the outcome this is great for the sport we love.......

I dont generally say it becouse I tend to get laughed at but ive believed for a long time that Hatton is p4p no 1 so id be definatly be willing to put my money where my mouth is. Couldnt do less than £500 coz people wouldnt think i really believed it.

I'd like to see Hatton win. He's a much more likeable guy. But I don't believe he will.
I think he is going to have some issues jumping to 147 again, I don't think he will carry his power up very well. Not to mention that Mayweather has shown he doesn't have a glass jaw. He may not get hit lots but I've seen fighters connect on him and he doesn't get phased to much.
Mayweather is faster both offensively(though not a high output) and defensively. While Hatton may have a higher output I don't believe he will be able to connect accurately on Mayweather.
Another thing I believe is that Hatton's clinching will not work in this fight. Floyd isn't a Castillo, or Urango. He moves backwards not forwards, so by the time Hatton grabs him he will be slapped with a jab or cross or uppercut. It is easier to clutch and pound the body in a clinch when you are fighting someone who is right in your face. Mayweather is not that someone.
With all that said, I do hope that Mayweather suffers a loss via KO or Decision. I think to be truly ranked up there with the greats you must show how you deal with a loss. Those like Hamed showed how not to deal with one, I'd like to see how Floyd deals with it. (Yes, I know he has accomplished far more than Hamed, that wasn't my point)

Im rooting for Mayweather, even though he runs around the ring, but at least he doesnt hold so much.
If Hatton didnt hold as much as he does then I would have pulled for him.
But it will make my day if both of them KO each other at the same time.

Americans aren't really nationalistic when it comes to things like boxing. We are homers when say, our local (US) football team plays a team from some other city, but we don't have a nationalist tradition when it comes to sports. Boxing is a sport where we pick specific fighters (regardless of nationality) as our favorites and root for them.

I find it hard to cheer for women beaters who flaunt money and act like spoiled brats. Hatton's always seemed like a cool guy who'd have a pint with you afterwards. I respect people who are respectful. Call me crazy.

On Character and likability???
Hatton wins HANDS DOWN.
Floyd relishes his ASSHOLE, BAD GUY IMAGE, and acts as if no one can see the transparency of his demeanor. It's sad and pathetic.

I had a dream the other night that I was at this fight and that Hatton knocked out PBF and the whole British crowd started shouting "EASY EASY EASY" I hope that this was some form of de ja vu as seeing floyds face when he he realised he lost and heraing that chant would be better than mastercard it would be PRICELESS.
If u watched bo bo vs davis last night on wnf u could get a glimpse of mayweather vs hatton, because bo bo was by far the more talented guy,but davis's effective pressure smothered and broke him down which made him quit, because he was overwelmed by the relentless pressure.I think if floyd hurt's his hands in this fight he might quit late in the fight and all his fan's will say if it wasn't for floyd hurting his hand's he would have outclassed hatton.Which means hatton wont get respect and a rematch will happen, and like i said it will turn into a trilogy.
