Course not he was clapping in encouragement to try and get him up.

Khan was set up. Who cares though, it has happened now.
Lets face it, before the fight, when looking at prescotts record we all saw he had fought nobodies only in colombia bar 1, so what was the risk?
The risk was an over hyped chinless wonder who was built up to be a world champion but who IS actually barelly capable of being the best in the UK.
Those are the facts and thanks to our Colombian friend they have been revealed.

It was two hand claps to say "Come on, get up!". Hardly a round of applause.
Rubio was Khan's trainer and his boy got starched. Rubio's reputation as a trainer is now in question. It's possible that certain people were led to believe Prescott was not as good as he actually was, but I can't see why Rubio would make himself look such a twat on purpose.

Rubio may have been very good friends with prescott and may re appear as prescotts trainer in his next fight.
If he is re apears as prescotts trainer then we all know what is going on.
However it does not change the obvious, regarding Khans abilities and training regime since turning pro.

Thats right. If there was something dodgy going on he wouldn't make it obvious by clapping.

Sven Goran Eriksson clapped like that when Sweden scored past England.

Rubio was just a cheap option for a trainer who was prepared to come to the Uk for very little money. He has NO track record at all as a pro and I pointed this out when they brought him over to much derision. He has three fighters back home (miami) and all had suffered KO losses in recent years. This defensive genius hilarity was just a smoke screen to cover the real reason why he was brought in, because he was cheap... and wouldn't involve a relocaion or tons of cash.
Rubio probably expected that a fighter of Khans amateur pedigree would have being good enough to beat a raw puncher like Prescott. Lets be fair Khan was caught cold, he made an unusually aggresive start and walked onto a couple of shots that he wasn't physically ready to take... Down goes Khan, out goes the trainer, in comes the excuses lol...
That the Khan camp have shifted blame onto the trainer is another display of their short sightedness. Brilliant stuff.

Apparently Prescott had already stomped someone Rubio trained, Should have known better !

By 'stomped' you mean 'won a split decision against'?

Yeah stomped was a figure of speech, I hadn't seen the fight.
Still he must have known something about him , maybe he didnt know enough about Khan ?

I suppose that on the basis of Rubio's other fighter taking Prescott to a split decision he was entitled to say to ****** 'stick Khan in with him'.
Clearly Rubio had only seen Khan's run in the 2004 games and his first ten fights......
Because anyone who saw the Limond fight knew straight away that this day would come - still don't know why the referee got to six and looked at Frank ******, but hey, I suppose thats the way it goes sometimes.

Don't blame Rubio for clapping. If you was bought over from Miami to Bolton then you too would be doing everything possoble to get a ticket back to Miami.
