I vote Carpentier, though I don't know much about Zale.

I don't know. I think part of Carpentier's fight with Tunney, and his fight with Dempsey, that's all I know of. Sorry. . He looks pretty impressive against Dempsey. Smart, mobile, quick, with good punching ability. I also think he has a better resume and was bigger, so I'm going with Carpentier.

I've seen Carpentier training for and fightring Ted "Kid" Lewis. It was late night British television,in one of those classic boxing programmes.
He seemed a very powerful and well-conditioned athlete.

Zale flattens him within ten rounds. Carpentier was quick tis` true, but durability was never his strong point and against a banger like Zale who went to the body with gusto and who had good pop in both fists I don`t see Carpentier lasting very long. Zale might be behind on points when he scores the kayo, but score it he will and I do mean a clean ten count kayo, not tko.

Zale would administer a beating followed by a mid rounds stoppage over the overrated Carpentier.
