he would deffinatley go down as a great if he got the nod against those 2 fighters, the hopkins fight was the only time i can recall oscar being convincingly beaten. other results could of gone his way (trinidad and mosley2) PBF was close, came down to the last round. in saying that though he was pretty lucky in my view to beat felix sturm.

i still consider oscar a great fighter, he willingness to fight anyone was always something i admired win loose or draw.

lets face it, oscar has fought the best competition since he was very young. he was robbed against trinadad, and i think in shane 2 (not robbed but should have got the nod)...

That's 8 losses. His most impressive win considered by most fans is Vargas.

Vargas was shot when he fought Oscar. In the 3 fights befoe he fought Oscar he had been sent to the hospital twice overnight for observation he was beaten up so bad. The two fights before he fought Oscar he was knocked down by weak hitting rivera and in trouble repeatedly against journeyman

So here is a fighter that should have 8 losses and a padded record of fighting smaller guys and the career defining fight was, acording to most, a beaten Vargas. How in the hell can you even think of putting Oscar in the top 5 or 10. Ring Mag had him at #78 in the top 100 at one time. After having 3 losses in his last 5 fights I wonder where they have him now.

Lol you really are an Oscar hater arent you. If your going to include gift wins he got (I agree with him losing to Sturm, Whitaker could have gone either way, and he beat Quartay), you have to include that HE was robbed against Trinidad.

Oscar will always be a great boxing legends are a mixture of ability and popularity. I'm not saying this mixture holds true for all fans of the game but its reality. But to say "if" he beat someone would be a stretch because he didn't and I must agree I though he lost to Strum, Ike and Swea. It does not take away from his star power and his warrior like style in the ring (except for the Tito fight which was probably the worst preformance from both men while in their primes)
