Whenever anyone is coming up through the ranks of the boxing world-we as critics sit and ponder and evaluate how he fights, who he fights and more importantly, why he fights. Pavlik is hungry. He fights as if he hasnt eaten in years. Just because he is new to alot of you doesnt mean he will not beat taylor. Boxing is a what have you done for me lately sport and im not sure about all of you guys but taylor hasnt done much for me the last few fights. Except, maybe making me sleepy in the last 2 fights. I can go on and on about taylors style and pavliks style but for steward to say that taylor is going to knock out pavlik within 6 rounds is insane. Thats total head games that hes trying to psych on pavlik. Ive never heard manny ever say that about another fighter so why does he choose to say it to pavlik? Because their camp is scared. Taylor wants a re-match clause on pavlik----was no rematch clause on the last 2 bums he fought.Pavlik is a hard puncher who hits harder than anyone. When he fought Bronco McKart couple fights back, Bronco told the media that in his career he has never been hit as hard as pavlik hit him.
Say what you will about bronco but the man has fought and is a veteran of the sport and for him to say that means something.
Brings me to the point, lets all watch taylor take the bombs that pavlik WILL throw and see what happens.
I know whats going to happen.
That belt is going to look good on Pavlik 9/29.

To my eyes, Pavlik's punches look slow and a bit looping but I think it's sort of an illusion given his long limbs. Otherwise he wouldn't be tagging folks like he does.

His punches are slow. And his best knockouts were against some of the worse tomato cans that I have ever seen. If you go to his site and watch that one knockout the guy is leaning against the ropes with both nands low not moving his head at all. That is asking to be knocked out literally. That being said. HE CAN BEAT TAYLOR but I dont think he will. I think taylor wont get hit that much and he would take it when hit.

Interesting--well to my eyes--pavlik throws straight ahead jabs and by the way do you know the punch rate of pavlik per round. Anyone out there? Its a lot---a whole hell of alot. Taylor will not be able to keep getting hit.

When's the last time Taylor KO'd somebody? Pavlik has a better chin than people think and I agree that Taylor won't duck every punch thrown at him. I can see a Pavlik KO but it still seems like wishfull thinking for some reason.

Taylor doesn't have too good a chin either. Why do you think he's been fighting nothing but light-hitters from lower weight classes since Hopkins rocked him??? And Hopkins was hardly known as a puncher in his later years, especially! :-(
In Pavlik, Taylor is fighting his first true top notch hard-hitting legitimate middleweight. And of course he and DiBella want a rematch clause - because they are pretty damn sure, as am I, that Taylor is gonna get KTFO. Early too. :yep

Pavlik's fought bums moving up (who hasn't), but he stopped a guy in McKart who's been in the ring with tough fighters (Winky 3X, Travis Simms) and never been knocked out until Pavlik. I'm not so sure Taylor's got a better chin than Bronco does, and it's definitely no given that he'd take Pavlik's shots well if Kelly lands. I don't think he will.
Also, 4 out of his last 5 fights KP's knocked out guys who've never been KO'd before and he's riding an 8 fight KO streak. His confidence is going to be sky high for this fight- and I'm not so sure the same's gonna be said for Taylor after the Spinks debacle.

That's 50/50 fight and some people believe Taylor's gonna win. That's a sign of being insecure buddy.:yep

Aside from speed and athleticism, I think Pavlik has the advantages in technical skills, power, chin, and ring smarts. I see him knocking out Taylor in impressive fashion.

Nut hugging fans like me ? . . . fuck you! . . . I'm also a Pavlik fan. I'm just tired of all these moronic senseless threads. You want to make a point? Post in all the existing Taylor/Pavlik thread . . . shithead!
I'm one of the very few who picked . . . Pavlik to despose off Miranda just I case you don't know. I'm not anybody's nut hugger.

Since you seem to be a little slow--ill explain to you slowly what the thread is about. Heres the key things I was trying to explain, forest.
1. Pavlik is new and no-one likes change.
2. Manny said in the press room that Taylor will knock him out by the 6th. manny never does that.
3. Bronco McKart has said that he has never been hit as hard as pavlik.
There were my 3 points to the thread. I guess if you would read instead of complain you could give some constructive arguments but i guess you fell off your tricycle today and arent feeling up for some boxing talk. Now run along forest. run along.

Nah you're fucki'n slow, you're not listening. You should have posted all your points in the other thread which came out much eallier than your thread, you got that? It's all the same bullshits anyway.
And how can you say nobody likes Pavlik when everywhere you go not only in this website, people are about 50/50 on the fight?
You're serioulsy looking for attention kid. :-(

Well one...your first point isn't totally valid. Paul Williams is new, people love him. Chad Dawson is new, people love him. Posters here go crazy when a new fighter comes in and is exciting, so I don't know where you got that.
Your second point? Taylor isn't gonna KO Pavlik by the 6th. Probably not at all.
3rd point? Bronko McKart has never been KO'd besides Pavlik. And what he is saying is probably true. However, he spent the majority of his career at 147 and 154. He hasn't faced any big MW punchers besides Pavlik either. Outside of Pavlik, of the few fights he has had over 154, the best record he has faced was a guy who was 25-10-4. So take that with a grain of salt. Pavlik's KO's of Miranda and Zertuche were better indicators of his power than McKart, who was also pretty old.

Pavlik coming this far is not much of a surprise for people who saw him box in amatuer contests.
Some of the posters around here probably know the inside scoop on that. He wasn't the tender white meat some thought he was.:smooch

pavlik will rock taylors world. if kasim ouma had taylor backing up, pavlik a guy who dwarfs ouma in height, is 15 pounds heavier come fight night, throws more punches and one of the hardest punchers in 160 should be able to stop taylor. hell, i'm convinced miranda would be able to KO him if he got past pavlik.
