alright guys, ive already settled who really won hagler-leonard, now I will settle who won DLH-Tito:

round1: DLH lands more cleaner blows, while Tito is the more active fighter. DLH wins a VERY close round.

round2: Trinidad busier, more aggressive. HBO crew going crazy over missed DLH punches.
Trinidad round. 1-1

round3: Trinidad takes the first half with a couple good hooks, DLH takes the second round with stiff jabs, two good combos and a flurry at the end. DLH by a hair.
DLH round. 2-1 DLH

round4: DLH jabs throughout the round, while Trinidad scores with straight rights. DLH lands a great left hook, answered immediately by a Trinidad left hook. Trinidad round.
2-2

round5: Crisp counterpunching and hard right hand carry the round for DLH over an ineffective Trinidad
3-2 DLH

round6: DLH landing the cleaner shots, great counterpunching.
4-2 DLH

round7: DLH stands more flatfooted, Trinidad lands a left hook, and its all DLH after that. Trinidad loads up on straight rights that miss, and DLH peppers him with jabs. Clear DLH round.
5-2 DLH

round8: DLH comes out flat footed and Trinidad outworks him for the first minute until a DLH right stops Trinidads momentum. DLH then lands a couple good bodyshots. Trinidad lands two solid left hooks in the last minute, but isnt enough to take the round. DLH round.
6-2 DLH

round9: DLH lands two sets of 1-2 bodyshots in the first minute. Lampley finally nuts on himself after building to the climax. Trinidad lands a right, and later a solid 1-2 to the head while DLH goes into full bicycle mode. DLH throws soft jabs and Trinidad lands a straight right and a left hook. DLH with a straight right with 30 seconds to go, DLH with a 3 piece at the end. VERY close round to DLH
7-2

round10: Besides two body punches DLH does nothing until the last 5 seconds.
Trinidad round
7-3

round11: DLH in full bicycle mode, giving up the round, keeping his arms out to keep Trinidad away.
7-4 DLH

round12: Another round given away while DLH is on the bicycle.
7-5 DLH

So in conclusion, I found DLH the winner by 7 rounds to 5 with two rounds (1 and 9) very close where I found DLH's activity to be superior to Trinidads harder punches. The judges found round 9 to be Trinidad's while I disagreed. Merchant found the first round even. So, if you either A) have a preference for power over jabs (like many judges are), or B) give Trinidad the benefit of the doubt in the close rounds, you can find Trinidad the winner. Its pretty incredible they gave him the benefit with the crowd going crazy over every DLH punch.

The first time I watched I had the fight even. Now, I have it 115-113 DLH

so who'd you have winning lenoard or hagler. leonard wins it everytime i watch it.

i had hoya winning by a similar margin after thinking tito won clearly watching it live at the pub. some of the early rounds were hard to score, still hard to score definatively, 115-113 either way or a draw i won't argue with

I think i had that thread before the last mass deletion of threads. Sad, b/c I put a ton of work into it. I had Leonard winning 115-113

115-114 DLH
115-113 Hagler

I like Tito better than DLH and Gay Ray better than Hagler, but I didn't score either fight for them.

I rewatched Tito/Oscar Saturday night late and came up with 8-4 ODLH. I starred the close rounds (there were several of them) and gave Oscar most of those, so clearly you could legitimately score the fight much differently.

I gave Tito round 4 and then 10-12. I thought No. 2 was very close, and obviously No. 9 was critical. For me, I thought Oscar controlled distance very well in those close rounds and still outlanded Trinidad, leading him around like a puppy. But someone could say Tito pressed the action and came forward, so you could argue it either way.

That round 9 is fascinating. I think if you were going to assemble a series of rounds to score to figure out what "style" of judge you are, that round would have to be included. It's a tipping point for whether you prefer clean, arid boxing or more aggressive posturing and harder shots.

That round reminds me of Taylor/Wright No. 12, and I think a good judge would need to be consistent between those two. (Oscar and Winky obviously being the parallels.) What's also interesting is that both rounds have been assumed for Trinidad and Taylor, respectively, but I think they both are very much in play, with Oscar perhaps having a slightly stronger case than Winky.

Oh, and I went 115-113 Leonard, much to my dismay. I've never figured out a way to score that fight for Marvin. He just started too slowly.

Hagler 115-114 Leonard
De La Hoya 116-114 Trinidad

I can live with a close win for Leonard but Trinidad definitely lost the DLH fight in my opinion (sorry Jack...)

You can have it anyway you want it, the truth is that the BOXING BOOKS have it like this

Leonard Vs Hagler......Leonard!!!

Tito Vs Oscar......Trinidad!!!!!

These two fights will be debated for the rest of times trust me. However in the Oscar/Tito fight you can only blame Oscar for losing that fight, Tito came to fight, Oscar came to box/run.......

You are right, we can't change those officials results but for a boxing fan officials sh*t don't matter.

So ? How did you score those fights ? I can see whether you know boxing or not by your scores so please share with us.

I definitely agree with you there. Although I scored the fight easily for De La Hoya, he deserved to lose for not fighting like a champion down the stretch.

Have you ever tried to see if you could get your head into Oscar's digestive tract, from his rectal canal, so you can find out what he ate for dinner at the country club?

Have you ever disagreed with someone without hurtling juvenile insults in a pathetic attempt to obscure your embarrassing lack of knowledge and/or intelligence?

Have you ever completed an entire sentence without slobbering over the overrated career of Oscar de la Hoya? Go date some women.

I'm not even a Hoya fan, but of course you're too obsessed with Oscar to bother reading other threads.

Actually, I don't think you're obsessed with Oscar as much as you are homosexuality. You mention it in every post, and sometimes in very graphic or strange ways, and usually this is a sign that someone has something to hide. Given your obvious attitude issues, it wouldn't surprise me if that's how you are inclined. And I'm not judging, mind you.

So, do you have something you need to get off your chest, Jack -- or should I say, "Jackie."

Oscarsexuality is a pestillence, like the Black Plague of the Middle Ages.
