I'd say between 350 and 400K.....That's if promoted properly...not like the Wink and Bhop fight, but rather like the DLH vs Floyd fight.

Around 500,000

IF properly promoted it could do crazy #s, but they'd have to spend a whole lot of advertising.

I say it does around 500k.

with the UK behind Hatton and a slew of others who want to see if PBF can lose or even get close to losing.....easily does 5.

I think it will break a million including Brit buys, thats if it gets a 24/7 series.

yea easily a million from the brits rooting for their boy. plus mayweather is becoming pretty popular here in the states thanks to he 24/7 series and his win over dlh. i see him alot now on tv and alot of people seem to know him. basically hes a household name. i think this fight does a million. if they do a 24/7 series to show that Hatton is a come forward all action fighter and to show how down to earth Hatton is then it will do more then a million. might be one of the biggest fights.

Americans will fall in love with Hatton if they have a 24/7 series and EVERYONE will be rooting for him to beat the "evil" Mayweather. The promotion should be fun if done right.

This fight is selling at least 1 mil. I don't give a fuck about the promotion. With good promo(24/7, etc.), we're looking at maybe 1.5

unlike oscar hatton knows how to talk, and he will get under floyd's skin(he already has).

you think Hatton can get under his skin any more than now....i dont know... think Hatton did the most he is cappable of doing with his trash talk saying he is going to win and saying wht he said after Castillo....that right there i think is it as far as getting under PBF's skin anymore...i think the damage is done....now at press conferences it will be Hattons turn and man...we know what PBF is capable of....lol....i hope they both talk shit though....has Hatton ever talked shit at any weigh ins or press conferences? im asking cus i never heard of him doing so they always say he's mild mannered.

brits PPV numbers doesn't count, we are talking about HBO only.
If i'm correct a Prince Nazeem fight did 700 k PPV buys in britain, while it was 4 in the morning.

But HBO only, if they are promoting it right and ESPN and some other sport networks will get into it. it will do over 500 k. With an 24/7 it can do like 750 k i think.

Remember everybody now knows that Floyd is nr 1 P4P. And if they can let the average american know who Ricky is, by 24/7, it could get very big.

We'll see. Now i say 500. But with some great promotion work and some help from other media i wouldn't be suprised if it will get close to 1 milion

This is tough, b/c the Brit fans aren't on PPV (in Britain), right? That's going to hurt.

In the US, if they do it right (spend $$$), I could see it doing 700K +. But it'll probably do more like 500K. Remember, Sir Bikes-a-Lot is involved, so that immediately reduces the buy rate right there. That's a lot for any star to overcome, including Hatton.

Hatton's fights are on PPV.
What do you think this buyrate will be, Hugh?

In the UK, I mean

Ok. since its Vegas I'll assume 10-20,000 in live gate.

Now PBf drew 375?? or so for Baldo?? There is insufficient PPV evidence for Hatton as most of his big and all USA fights have been non-PPV. SO, all in all, I'm predicting between 700-900 with about 750 being my guess.

Floyd aint the draw and 375 is about the halfway mark. People actually like Hatton as a human being and All the Brits wont be able to travel so 750 gets my estimate.

It's the biggest test/fight of either man's career to date:good

I say a cool mill. Just b/c the promotion on 24/7 will be hilarious they will dog ugg pugg hatton out. He is too easy to crack on. Hatton is a little shit talker himself so he will amuse the british.

if its on on sky box office in england it will be around 15 quid as usual. It does not matter if people england don't have sky because if they want to see the fight they will go to the pub nad watch it. Don't know how much it costs on hbo.

HBO only, about 450k, which is VERY high for an HBO PPV still. A lot of fans will buy it, but I suspect a lot of casual fans will avoid it because both PBF and Hatton have been rather dull to watch in most of their recent fights.

If it is promoted right the fight could do over 500k buys in the U.S. and over 150k buys in England. I wouldn't be suprised if we saw it do 700,000.

$500,000-$700,000

I think you mean 500,000-700,000 buys because $500k-$700k is what 100,000-140,000 people .

America alone I'd say 900,000. Between England and America I'd say over 2 million.

In my opinion, if properly promoted, and taking the total worldwide audience and networks showing the fight (HBO, SKY, etc.) I'd say it can get upwards of 1,000,000. Mayweather may not be a Tyson but he can still draw buys, the Baldomir fight shows that. His fight with Hoya wasn't a dud either, so people would watch him again.

So that covers a sizeable amount of the American audience. Hatton handles the U.K. side of things, and proper promotion brings in the casuals.

What's the record for buys? If promoted it could break the record.

aint breaking dlh vs pbf cuz they hold the record period. that includes hw and non HW

Mayweather isn't a draw and Hatton is English. This fight won't do that well. I'd imagine, with 24/7 and a LOT of adverts, it'd do about 550,000.

As big as this fight is for us hardcore fans, it's unlikely to grab the average American's attention.

You may be right about the fight not pasing Oscar De La Hoya vs Floyd Mayweather Jr but conedering Hatton's popuarity. If properly promoted I think it has a chance.

yeah it will do over a million if the 24/7 shows are good and show hatton in peak condition. There is already a certain amount of buzz around this fight, and with proper promotion (floyd on leno) and hatton on the brit late night tv, the fight will do over 1 million buys. It might do more but I need to see the global press tour to see the casual fan interest.
