Does Braehmer still have it or is this the beginning of the end? Is Garay any good or not? There will be a lot of pressure on both fighters.

How about Wilaschek; is he any good? And can Stieglitz continue to perform at the lower world class level which he's accustomed us to so far or not? He has the physical gifts to be a solid world class fighter, but he lacks focus and has serious morale problems. If Stieglitz cannot raise himself mentally for this fight and perform well, he's on his way down for good, I'd say. There will be a lot of pressure on Stieglitz, particularly, in this fight, and he just cannot handle pressure well.

In both fights, because Garay and Wilaschek are of unknown qualities, the win in itself will not be the only important thing. The level of performance will matter more than ever in these fights, for all parties concerned, I think.

An interesting card in which anything could happen, wouldn't you agree?

Both Garay vs Braehmer and Stieglitz vs Wilaschek can go either way.

I will probably bet my money on Braehmer, but wont be surprised to see the Argie outbox and overpower the German.

Wilaschek is a talented fighter, but I for one think that he will be out of his shoes against Stieglitz.
Wilaschek cant hurt Stieglitz whereas Stieglitz has the firepower to wear his Polish opponnent down.
Moreover,Stieglitz is the more experienced fighter.
Interersting fight! A true crossroad fight for both of them!

for brahmer, i think he has always been overrated. to sum him up: great offensive fighter.......but if he doesnt put you away in the first three or four rounds, he struggles. even against mediocre opposition.

i remember his fights with the badly faded (almost shot) former wbo middleweight titlelist hector velaszco. brahmer opened fast, then faded. got knocked down (almost knocked out) in round six and won a close decision. even his promoter called the offical scores bogus and said that brahmer may have won by one, maybe two points but no more.

and he hasnt improved. in fact, he looked more vunurable than even in his second fight with veit. sure, he won by knockout over the hardly spectacular veit...........but he got nailed by one of veits right hands in round three and he almost went down again. and veit cant punch!!!!

and dont forget, this fight is at light heavy!!!! brahmer is a natural super middle.

and garay a slimmed down cruiserweight!

and garay is very very good!!! he totally dominated /outclassed the world class yuri barashian (who was coming off a dominant ko of heavy punching thomas ulrich).

garay seems to have arrived imo. he was too young and inexperienced when he challenged wbo boss zolt erdei a few years ago, even though both decisions were very close. some called them robberies, not me though. both fights were close enough to be called draws so i have no problem with the champ getting a little bonus.

all in all, i think garay will be too much. still, taking on a german (a real one for a change) in germany is one tough assignment cause the crowd will go nuts every time brahmer comes close to landing a punch.
but garay i think can come through and stop brahmer in the second half of the contest.

Thanks for that; what are your thoughts on the other match-up?

Wilaschek vs Stieglitz??

Their encounter will be staged on the 9th of december.

Wilaschek(22-0),a German based Pole with a German passport, will have to put his best foot forward to win his upcomming fight with the experienced Stieglitz. He had won 115 out of 130 fights at the amateurs before he turned pro. A pity that he cant crack an egg with his feather fisted punches.

I for one favour Stieglitz over Wilaschek, but predicting anything seriously is blowing smoke. Could really go either way!

If Wilaschek has little power, Stieglitz would benefit from turning into a rought affair. He should be seen as the favourite then.

Stieglizt doesnt seem to have a clue how to play it rough, armele!

Besides he can be outboxed and his punch isnt the most telling one out there.
On the other hand Wilaschek is a feather fisted runner who cant crack an egg with his soft punches.
I guess their encounter can really go either way.
