Miske won on a foul, not sure of the details though

It was a low blow from Gibbons which got him DQ'd in that one.

He was said to winning the fight according to the day-afters from the NY Times, Washington Post, etc., but "accidently" landed a right hand below Miske's beltline soon after the 10th round began, which Miske was not able to recover from.

No, not a desperation tactic, at all, from what I gather.
