The Melbourne Herald Sun this morning reports that Anthony Mundine's upcoming bout against Pintos, sheduled for Perth, has been shifted. Reason given by the Mundine camp was that bikies had purchased most of the ringside table seats.
Reckon you can read a bit more into this:
1/ Were ticket sales for Perth going that poorly they decided to shift it?
2/ Danny Green seems keener to get boxing gloves on Barry Hall than himself these days. Even suggest Hall get himself on Dancing with the Stars to raise his profile, improve his image etc.
3/ Perhaps Danny's decided to opt out of another go with Mundine, and that being the case Perth is no longer a focus for Mundine? He wouldn't have enjoyed a friendly crowd in any case.
4/ Perhaps Mundine reckons the bickies were going to jump in and harm him?
Anyone else got a view on this one??

The fight is now at the Whitlam centre in Liverpool. The same venue where Solomon Haumono fought Cliff Couser.
Increased security presence would have been required (thats it).
Since the bout with Green is not going ahead, makes no sense to risk it.

I will go with the ticket sales not going to well. In Sydney he will always sell and get a good crowd.

If Danny Green has made a decision to stay retired then there's no reason to fight in Perth.
He may as well fight a penguin at the South Pole.
And before you idiots go getting all hard over the comparrisons between some of his recent opponents and a penguin one must take into consideration the advantages a penguin would have in the south pole.....
I'd pay to watch it.

i'm always confused by the news stories. mundine has talked up fights in tasmania, townsville, perth, new zealand, indonesia, malaysia & america but he always ends up back in NSW.
