View Full Version : Anyone go to the fights in Brisbane last Friday?

I went to a really good pro am in Brisbane last Friday night, it was at the Irish club in the city and it had an Irish amateur team fighting a bunch of Aussies, the fights where great. There was also 3 pro bouts with Hunter Sam making his pro debut, Hunter is the son of former Palm Island fighter Doug Sam who fought for the world title in Korea I think.

Anyway congrats to all involved , it was a really good atmosphere, i saw ESB's PhilAustin there looking official as always.

Hiya Joe - next time at the fights come up and say hi - I always like to meet the guys from the Forum! Those Irish lads were well tasty! I saw the featherweight TJ warming up beforehand and thought thank fuck it ain't me fighting him. Loved the atmosphere there too, Steve and his team put on a great night

Sounds Interesting, i might go along to the next show & get a feel of the great atmosphere.

I met three big Irish lads at the Kessler and Calzaghe fight and they were very polite, let me sit with them and watch the fight in their corner :good
