View Full Version : My noise bleeds to easily...

Its like one decent jab and my nose pops, its really denting my confidence as people laugh as my nose sometimes get quite bad. (though I don't get beat always). I can take a punch defintely, but my nose pops so easily... my trainer only advised "just cover up more often" but hows that gonna help me against a solid counter puncher?

Any advise guys?

Mine bleeds quick as well, which is bad because it makes people think they did damage. What helps for me is putting a bit of vaseline inside the nose as well, because what causes it in my case is a busted up nose with rough edges everywhere.

my nose used to bleed very easy when i was younger. My parents took me to the doctor to have the veins in my nose cauterized something like that and never ever has it bled again. I have been popped hard and often in sparring and not a single drop of blood. That doesnt mean that my nose doesnt bruise or turn red or get cuts under my eyes though lol.

im like that with my gums. one good right and my gums bleed around my front teeth. noticing the blood keeps me motivated though so its all good. have you looked into cauterizing your nose?

basically they burn the blood vessels shut so they dont bleed anymore or at least not nearly as much/often.

i get motiveated by a bit of blood in my mouth guard, but i can understand that seeing your nose piss blood can dent your confidence in the long run, there was a guy like that at my first gym, one small pop to the nose and he would repaint the canvas red...i dont know what he did to stop it though...

It never flows in my case, the worst so far has been a bit of blood on the bottom of my nose.

Lucky Buggers. I think my nose bleeds too easily as well but thats only when Ive sparred a heavyweight (Im light middle).

couldn't tell ya, i haven't had it done. i love to bleed :D it's great motivation for me to work harder.
