Well, this is gonna go one of two ways.

1. Morales looks like Gatti did the other night.
2. A miracle.

I am picking the first of the two:verysad

If Morales have problems with 135 then soon after he wins the title he will move to 140lb ...
Morales - Hatton in the works!

Damn, I think Diaz's is gonna take this one.

There's nothing wrong with retiring after two beatings by an ATG, man. Especially, since he beat him the first time.

Doesn't look good. Too much weight loss over a short timespan, I reckon. These little guys just don't have the shelf life. I wish he were taking a bullshit opponent in Tijuana, just to treat the fans. A fight against a live (albeit unspectacular) beltholder is a concern.

Godspeed, El Terrible.

SHUT THE FUCK UP

I really think that we may see Morales - Mayweather early next year.
Somebody wanna say Floyd is much bigger?

Morales: height 5′ 8″, reach 72“
Floyd: height 5′ 8″, reach 72“

Morales looked far worse and much more drained to me at the weigh in for the 3rd Pacquiao fight. I consider this an improvement from that weigh in.

Morales only looks better because he has gotten some sun it is summer you know.

Pfffft  right.

I guess his performance will prove you right and disprove my opinion than, but if he losses and doesnt have it the way he didnt have it with pacquiao you know its the weight and its the punishment his body has took over I would say the last 9 or 10 years.

I don't think Morales looks all that bad honestly. He is a naturally skinny guy (him and I have the same height, body type). He is never going to look ripped like Pac, all that matters is how he performs on Saturday. I'd be more worried about how he looked against Pac in the third fight with no pop to his punches slow as hell, and having no legs than him being weight drained.

exactly and did you see how much weight he did put on after that fight? Both Erik and Pac did a San Miguel commercial and Erik was fucking fat:verysad

Arum is milking the shit out of Morales. I mean if Morales gets seriously hurt I blame the greedy bastard Arum. He probably getting a mill for the fight and a fighter is not going to turn down money if guys around him are not being real with him and telling him he is shot. Morales looks like he is dying of aids. He has little to no muscle tone and just looks like paris hilton. NO MORE FOR MORALES. Fuck Bob Arum

Its to early to tell if Morales really had to kill himself to make weight. If he adds 10+ pounds between the weigh-in and fight time, he should be ok. If I remember correctly, against Pac in the third fight he gained barely anything, which meant he really had to kill himself to get down to 130. If he comes in around 145+, I think he should be fine.

David Diaz is C Level, Morales if he has anything left should take him. He should be easy to outbox, outwork and outhustle. Morales is shot to pieces if he can't beat David.

I'm equally curious why Dan Raphael is covering this fight rather than the one between IV/RM.

I agree, Gatti really should have retired after Baldomir, because if you can't beat Baldomir, you can't beat anybody even half way decent.

It's hard to gauge with Morales because Pacman is heads and shoulders above Baldomir. But if Diaz smokes him, he is finished.

:good Baldos P4P allot better than Diaz though and Pacmans another league to Diaz. Its like being destroyed by a top of the table team, it doesn't mean you can't beat the bottom of the table team

No way. Baldomir is nothing more than a regional journeyman who got lucky. Diaz, while he's not much better, at least had a very solid amateur background. He's a good fighter, not spectacular, but decent. And certainly better than the limited Baldomir.

has anyone seen his family? there all fatasses. thats why its so hard for him, his genetics wanna make him fat as hell. i mean, damn, hes 5 8, he should never been at 122, and, hes always been razor thin, no mucsle and such. but he has been that way forever, and hes beaten every fighter hes faced exept that asshole zahir. cut him slack, if david diaz died tomorow in a bridge collapse (its really not as bad as the CNNs made it) kno one would give 2 SHITS, so all you skeetbreath assholes shut the hell up, you couldnt make 130 as a toddler

Morales looked better here than on his weigh in against Pacquiao. Im aFilipino and Im rooting for El Terrible this time. He needs to stick and move and stay out of the ropes, and I know he'll get the decision win. Bust Diaz's face, El Terrible! Wooooh!

And guys, the undercard may surprise you. They got 2 Filipinos fighting and Ive seen them fight. Theyre really exciting. Theyre a lot more skilled and a lot busier than Czar Amonsot. And you know how exciting that fight was vs. Katsidis, right.

Rodel Mayol is very good. he's at world championship level in skills already.
I'd rate him at A- or B+. He's a natural lefty but was converted to righty. He's got a nasty left hook, left uppercut and left jab. His style got shades of a young Dela Hoya.

Bernabe Concepcion is a nice young fighter, a club fighter style brawler. I rate him at B to B- in terms of skills, But he's an B+ in terms of action. He fights well inside and has got tight looking hooks and uppercuts.

You better watch out tomorrow, guys. It's gonna be good.

Man some fighters look so unhealthy at the weigh in and then put on 15 lbs come fight time.....Maybe this is the reason fighters at the lower weights burn out so quick and become shadows of their former selves in the ring?

Morales is a boxer-puncher, boxer comes first and he is an exceptional boxer, he can win this fight by UD if he doesn't get reckless.

But really can't tell anymore, he looked completey shot in the 3rd Pac fight.
