Has anyone seen this fight? Is it available on film?

I know it's supposed to be a classic, as it was chosen by The Ring as the greatest bantamweight fight ever.

It was definitely filmed, because I've seen bits and pieces of it.

Unfortunately, SA historians have been extremely lazy in making many fights fought here available for viewing. You cannot find them online and even finding the right people to talk to is difficult.

I am strongly considering contacting a few historians to make these fights available for folks online, either as youtube videos or better yet available for purchase. It really depends who owns the rights to these fights I guess.

Apparently only 15 minutes worth of footage was filmed of the bout because no suitable sponsor could be found :roll:

That's kind of tragic, along with Zamora-Hong II, full footage does not exist for two of the more brual fights in Bantamweight history. Very sad indeed.

Thanks for that...it would explain why I could only view bits and pieces. It's a damn shame that it wasn't filmed in it's entirety.
