won't even be in his corner for his comeback fight, which has to be considered important. And he won't be fighting in Vegas either, right? I didn't get all that Vegas chat considering Khan is a domestic class fighter and not good enough to be on a big show anyway.
This reminds me of when Alex Arthur had Roach training him, AAA kept talking about it as if it meant he had made it and how he might room with Toney and Tyson etc, then Freddie wasn't even in his corner when he got battered by Gomez.
sadly deluded these guys, Freddie must be laughing all the way to the bank.

Roach will be in Pac's corner for the DLH fight. I think Team Khan have made a mistake by not making sure Roach would be available on fight night. But Khan will only be fighting a bum this time around so I dont think it will make much difference.

I seem to think the same thing happened to Alex Arthur when he fought Gomez. Look what happened to him.

As Alan Sugar would say Khan is a lightweight. When it comes to the big boys in boxing he means nothing. He is just a hyped flash harry ramadan.
Sure thing Roach will not give 2 shits about him, why not concentrate on the top boys in your gym like pacman from where most your earnings and rep will come form rather than a chinny fuck from Bolton who has been talking shit for the last 2/3 years.

Yes same when Sweet D (remember him ??) got some legendary US trainer in for 1 fight and had the shit pummeled out of his ass.

Roach did the same with Alex Arthur. Id be surprised if this lasts longer than a year.

The best thing for Khan to do would be leave his family etc here and go live and train over in the US with no hype and no big name status that would make or break him

Is that not what he has done ? Or has half his family gone over as well ?

agreed
The best thing he can do is retire. Not after his next KO loss, right now.
Focus on modelling and building his gyms, maybe we'll get a better prospect than him out of it.

Yea this is the thing , Khan has to want to go and stay there and fight fights for a couple of thousand dollars and he can work with roach all he wants..........
But in the UK he can fight the same tomato khans (:rofl) and get a few million.
Indeed , its all about what he wants to become I guess.
or like TFFP says , maybe he should just f**kn knock it in now , its unlikely he'll ever regain the attention he had ( unless something really does change with him ) so why not ?

Touche..........
I think his chin will always be his nemesis, no matter what Freddie Roach, Manny Steward or whoever can do with him. He doesn't fight according to his strengths and weaknesses - he has had absolutely no schooling at all in the ring against opponents capable of giving him a hard time (Limond, Gomez and Prescott apart) and look what happened in each of those fights.
He could win every round against someone and be let down by that glass jaw.

Hes over there yes but his next fight is still a big stage FW production is it not ? :huh
If he really wants to improve go fight tough guys in places where no fucker cares who he is. thats where he'll find what he's got inside him.

Golden Boy said we'll give you a slot if you give Rocky Juarez a fight with Nicky Cook. ****** didn't agree to this and couldn't work out a deal with Golden Boy.
So Khan couldn't fight in USA.

Khan needed Roach in the corner not a few thousand miles away, a trainer always gives sound advice in between rounds, Khan has got a part deal, AAA had the same, kinda pointless really. Trainers give boxers confidence and stability, Khan just thinks well known trainer equals success, despite Roach not being in his actual corner come fight night, he is just desperate and chasing rainbows.

I see, so all he gains by going to the US is training and sparring with decent guys ? He still comes back home to fight and gets smoke blown up his arse about how spectacular he is. Dont really see the point.
Oh well its not my career !

Agreed. If i was paying the same rate as his 'top' fighters to train me,i would want the same priority as them.
If it was cut-price, thats different,....but otherwise i wouldnt take second- class fighter status for the same money.Fuk that.
It seems nowadays as if the fighter works for the trainer and not the other way round.
Madness. The fighter is paying for his services.

Roach like Buddie are men in demand. They pretty much can do as they please. Working with Roach wont make a blind bit of difference to Khan. Im seeing Alex Arthur all over again..

It's worth going over for the training and different perspective, plus the access to the top sparring. But he needs a good trainer who can give him improved fundamentals. Like McGirt.
McGirt Is terrible for aggressive guys like Smith Jr and Gatti but he would be actually great for Khan since Khan needs to be more defensive to protect those shaky whiskers.

If it wasnt for Buddy Gatti`s career wouldnt have gone as far as it did.

this is what I was getting at, well put.
Like Arthur, he's totally deluded and the fact Roach is not demanding he fights on a night and card he can be with him at says it all really, how bothered about Khan can he be? Not very. What a thicko Khan is.
