I would be impressed. But it wouldn't mean, naturally, that the man is a world-class boxer. Just that he's very much able to maximize the difference between himself and terrible fighters consistently.

I would be impressed. It's not easy to get up for 250 fights and win them all, much less by knockout. Anything can happen in any fight. Mayweather could get caught by a nobody and knocked out (supposing he fought someone ranked so low, for some reason), which is why performing over 250 fights is a big thing, regardless of competition.

That would be incredibly impressive. If you are knocking out 250 of your cousins and nephews and they are the same size you are, you can hit.

Check out one Buck Smith on boxrec. He fought Buddy McGirt and Mark Breland, among others. Where would you rate him?

I personally do not think a man can be rated highly unless tested against the best. A fighter's record against rated opponents is a far better indicator of his stature than the overall record.

It would be very impressive, he would have shown that he has/ had crazy punching power, because at 250 opponents it would be hard finding only glass chinned bums, some fighters surely had decent chins, so power-wise and for the consequence (never got caught with a lucky punch or things like that) he need to get some respect...

First he should fire his manager. It's difcult to go 250-0 at anything. I'd be somewhat impresed but I would have a lot of questions too.

Then again, Marciano did it against rated contenders, whereas this hypothetical guy did it against nobodies. If Ali got to 49-0 against Marciano's opposition, he would get the same credit Marciano does.
