Last Chance For Audley
Promoter Frank ****** has handed Audley Harrison one more lifeline to prove he can fight as well as he can talks.
The 36 year-old faces Irishman Martin Rogan at the ExCel Arena in London on December 6 and ****** has stated that if Harrison does not impress this time his career with him will be over
****** said: “He’s got to do it this time because if he doesn’t then it’s all over as far as I’m concerned.”
Harrison was booed constantly by the crowd when he once again bombed in out-pointing Brazilian journeyman George Arias back in September.

I think Aud should give the game up, and stop wasting undercard slots - which could go to a young prospect.
when audley lets is punches go he looks good ,audley vs haye would be good.
surreal deal

Not likely to ever happen, audley said he'd only fight him if they we're both world champions, he also admitted that Haye got the best of him in sparring, but there both apparently really good friends.

Audley will certainly go down as one of the biggest flops in Olympic history. Khan looks to be following this path himself. Just goes to show how worthless the Olympics now are thanks to the IOC.

In what sense?
The stupid scoring which encourages running?

The stupid scoring which encourages running? The scoring. The action. The fighting or lack of. The running. Its simply not a reflection of the pro ranks. Guys dont go to fight they go to score points. Audley and Khan are perfect examples of the amateur system.

Problems with amateur boxing.......
1. Referreeing
2. Failure to score jabs, body shots and combinations
3. Lack of point deductions for holding and running
4. Headguards
5. Standing counts
6. Premature stoppages
Good things about amateur boxing.....
Erm......
1. No ducking
That's about it!

Please, I know Amir Khan is hardly flavour of the month round here but let's not insult him by putting him into Audley's bracket.
Khan is busy and aggressive, wanting to put on a show for the crowd. Total opposite of Audley.
This is good news either way - either Audley gives a fired-up performance, or more likely will not fight again. Win-win.

what odds do you think I can get for a Rogan win by first round KO?

Rogan vs Audley should be a good fight. Rogan has the potential to go all out and try and KO A-Force but Audley if he can stand a bit of fight could box well and actually impress us all.
Would like to see the winner face Chisfattyora.

Exactly, I agree 100%.
The amateur game should reflect the pro game, to gain some credibility.
The last olympics was a joke. I had to switch off on a number of occassions due to frustration at the scoring system. If body shots dont count and KO's dont get points, what is the point in the amateur game. It is now a joke, and success in it does not translate to the pro game, even less so than before.

I would give you 50-1. :admin
There is no way Rogan will win in the 1st.
I think that even if Audrey performs badly he wins on points.

There a fundamental in boxing and a massively neglected one. You have a huge target from the waist up and the IOC say only head shots count? Thats just stupid.

Audley has the tools to make it all the way, he just needs to learn to get angry, I dont think he gets scared in the ring, he just doesn't have a desire to do damage to his opponents, If he gets that he would be a different prospect altogether

He simply doesn't have the desire/anger/nastyness or general feeling of wanting to rip someones head off which is what you need to be a success. You can't suddenly decide that you are going to be that kind of person, its either there or not and in Audreys case it is not. Simple as. :good
