Ketchel has a puncher's chance, considering he was the hardest hitting middleweight in history, but was sloppy as hell and more than likely wouldn't have been able to land enough effective punches on Hopkins, as the Pavlik fight shown as "The Ghost" was/is a rather one dimensional puncher.

Walker on the other hand, has one hell of a chance at beating Hopkins. Though he failed to dethrone then 175 pound champion Tommy Loughran, he had great success at heavyweight against such tacticians as Jack Sharkey as well as against the big bangers like Meyers Christner and Bearcat Wright. In the lighter weights, he was able to beat the best of the best, minus one, the legendary Tiger Flowers. His "windmill attack" of non-stop punches, despite his moderate power, made him a success at multiple weight classes much like Harry Greb before him, and Henry Armstrong after him. Manny Pacquia, whose upcoming fight with De La Hoya in December, also fights out of this same concepted style, and may have a chance based only on the higher volume of punches his style permits.

Hopkins never quite fought a swarming opponent like Walker, and would probably lose a close decision to him.

Good post I agree with both. Walker is a bit underated today imo.

I like Ketchel over Hokins, Walker with his body work would be tough to beat but B-Hop could make those fights close
