Default Liddell Claims Fedor is Coming to the UFC

Fresh off his knockout loss to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] (27-6-0) on May 26, former light heavyweight champion [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] (20-4-0) is challenging all comers, even those who aren’t on the UFC payroll just yet.

In an interview with The Baltimore Sun, “The Iceman” spoke about his loss and the fighters he’d like to face next. “Any of the good ones,” he said. “There’s Shogun [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], there’s [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. You’ve got [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] coming over. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] is coming over in the heavyweight [division].”

It’s an answer that raises a lot of questions. Is [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] (26-1-0) coming to the octagon? Will Liddell move to heavyweight to fight him?

According to Liddell, he is currently focused on getting back to training and hopes to fight again in September or October, possibly against former Pride champion [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] (31-7-1). “I think I match up well with Silva,” Liddell said. “It should be fun. It’s a great fight for the fans.”

For now, the big news in the UFC light heavyweight division is the upcoming fight between “Rampage” and [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] (22-5-0) who beat Silva in February of ’07 to win his second Pride championship belt. “I think it should be a good fight,” Liddell said about the Jackson vs. Henderson match. “It should be interesting. It will be a fun one for the fans to watch.”

Does Liddell know something we dont?

It is a bit like Judah saying Mosley v Mayweather should be happening. They roll in circles that gives them access to this type of information.

I want to see Jackson v Henderson and Liddell v Silva. Those are the next two I want to see.

Jackson vs Hendo is a done deal and will be happening at UFC 75.As for Liddell vs Silva that will more than likely happen in the not too distant future.Neither have much time left in the sport and both are coming of KO losses.

I'll tell you one thing Fedor is not coming over until he gets the contract he wants. UFC doesn't offer him an option to fight in Russia. Until they do he won't fight here. From what I've heard Dana thinks its the most ridiculous thing to let fighters fight outside of his org. So unless Dana changed his ways i doubt we'll see Fedor in octagon.

Exactly what i was thinking.I highly doubt well see him in the Octagon.Dana could sign him to a 1 fight deal but for the money Fedor wants i doubt Dana will want to put up the cash.It will be a shame but i believe Fedor and the UFC is nothing more than a pipe dream.
