CHAZZ WITHERSPOON, presented SATURDAY, JUNE 21 at 10:00 p.m. (live ET/tape-delayed PT), from The FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tenn., exclusively on HBO. The HBO Sports team of Bob Papa, Max Kellerman and Lennox Lewis will be ringside for the event, which will be available in HDTV, closed-captioned for the hearing-impaired and presented in Spanish on HBO Latino.
Undefeated heavyweights clash when Chris Arreola (23-0, 21 KOs), from Riverside, Cal., goes up against Philadelphia’s Chazz Witherspoon (23-0, 15 KOs) in the scheduled 12-round opening bout. Both fighters stand 6’4” and look to establish themselves as top American prospects in the division..
In the main event, Andre Berto (21-0, 18 KOs), from Winter Haven, Fla., takes on Miki Rodriquez (29-2, 23 KOs), from Naucalpan, Mexico, in a scheduled 12-round welterweight championship fight. Berto is one of the fastest-rising stars in the division, having registered 16 knockouts in his last 17 fights. Rodriquez is also a top prospect, with knockout victories in 12 of his last 15 fights, and seeks to halt Berto’s rise to the top.
