Turn Back The Clocks! Miranda v Green

edison miranda01.03.07 - By Kyle Dziubinski: I know they arenít the biggest attractions or best fighters in the boxing market today, but Edison Miranda (27-1, 24 KO's) and Allan Green (23-0, 16 KO's) should be thanked for their throwback boxing fight. I say this because most fighters today are so caught up in NOT losing that we get subjected to lopsided, boring, or otherwise meaningless matches. Here are two power punching monsters with bright careers ahead of them and instead of taking the same boring path against cream puff chumps they chose to fight each other.

Neither is polished tacticians of the boxing sweet science, but both are extremely dangerous and the fight can, and most likely will end in the blink of an eye. I cant wait for Saturday night when I get my usual crowd of fight fans over to witness the drama unfold between these two true throwback fighters.

I call them throwback fighters because they want to see who the tougher guy is, who can take the bigger punch, and who will be left standing.

So who is going to win this crazy exciting match up? All I know is win, lose, or draw neither fighter loses any credit in my book. The sport of boxing should always have match ups like these, EXCITING ones where calling the winner is actually a challenge. The only thing I can predict is a knockout and that Iíll be on the edge of my seat. I love it and I just want to give props to both of these fighters for giving me a reason to tune in. I appreciate these two warriors stepping up and putting on a show! Good luck to Edison Miranda and Alan Green.
