Shannon Briggs Has Fun At Marlins Game

09.04.07 - WBO heavyweight champion, Shannon Briggs threw out the honorary first pitch at the Florida Marlins game this past Saturday. The champ signed autographs for fans and made it an extraordinary day for one special kid, Pat Pedraja, who is fighting leukemia. Pedraja, who is 11 years old, founded the popular website www.DrivingForDonors.com to help save the lives of people who need bone marrow transplants. After receiving a team jersey from owner Jeff Loria, Briggs took fun pictures with All-Stars Miguel Cabrerra and Dan Uggla. All in all it was a great day for Americas only heavyweight champion. Shannon Briggs' first title defense against undefeated Russian southpaw Sultan Ibragimov, is scheduled for June 2nd at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J.
