Judah/Galvan Ruled a No Contest
13.04.07 - By Scott Frake: Former Welterweight boxing champion Zab Judah (34-4, 25 KO's) ended up with a disappointing no contest in tonight's bout with Ruben Galvan (27-11-2, 10 KO's), at the Fitzgerald's Casino hotel, in Tunica, Mississippi. Shortly after the bout got under way, Judah opened up a bad cut on the forehead of Galvan, which appeared to come from a flurry of punches. However, it was difficult to conclusively tell whether it was from a punch or an elbow, considering the the speed and the amount of punches that Judah quickly landed in the first minute of the fight. It didn't help that Galvan was hopelessly overmatched, and was near defenseless to stop any of Judah's fast punches.

Judah, who was making his first ring appearance since his one year suspension from boxing after the near riot in his bout with Floyd Mayweather Jr., looked angry and impatient from the start, as if he want to take out his aggression on Galvan, misplaced as it may have been. With this bout, as disappointing as it may be, Judah continues forward to meet up with undefeated Puerto Rican WBA Welterweight champion Miguel Cotto in June.
