Williams Scores Brutal KO At Hitz Wednesday Night Fights
19.04.07 - Undefeated cruiserweight prospect Aaron Williams (12-0-1, 9 KO’s) scored a brutal 3rd round knockout over Terry Porter, Wednesday night at the Sears Center in Hoffman Estates. The first two rounds saw Williams dominate the action with his jab and thudding body punches. After a stern tongue lashing to pick-up the pace from trainer and former WBA Light Heavyweight Champion Eddie Mustafa Muhammad, Williams came out for the 3rd round as if he where fired from a canon..

Williams went back to the body with two blistering right hands, followed by a feint. What followed was reminiscent of Ray Mercer’s brutal knockout of Tommy Morrison sixteen years ago.
Williams dipped and unleashed a crushing over-hand right that sent Porter reeling into the ropes. Williams looked for the referee to either stop the fight or administer an eight count. When referee Gerald Scott stepped back to let the action continue, Williams landed another thunderous right hand that sent Porter through the ropes.
No count was needed as Porter lay lifeless on the ring apron. The official time of the stoppage was :47 of round three.
Thankfully, Porter regained consciousness and was responsive minutes later.
“I was comfortable with what I was doing,” said Williams who turned 21 earlier this month. “I kept going down to the body which opened up the head shots. “
“I told Aaron to stop playing around and get this guy out there before the start of the third round,” added trainer Eddie Mustafa Muhammad. “I’ll give Aaron a week off and then we’ll be back in the gym. I know what we got to work on.”
Williams will be back in the ring in May, according to his managers Albert Falcon and Patrick Doljanin.
