Espino, who hails from North Hollywood, adjusted nicely to the awkward style of the 5'5 Stepkin, who was punching from tricky angles. Espino countered well, proving he has the skills to land accurate punches while going backward as the Russian bullied his way forward. Sergy had his moments landing a couple of nice hooks to the head of Miguel in the middle rounds, but the former "Contender" star proved he belongs with the best middleweights in the world as he outworked, the once beaten prospect, getting the better of the exchanges in each round.
The final score cards read 96-94 twice and 98-92. Miguel continues to make noise in the middleweight division, and now boast a six fight winning streak. Look for Espino to break into the top 20 of most recognized boxing organizations
