19.05.07 - Middleweight contender Kelly Pavlik (31-0, 28 KO's) shockingly stopped highly touted Edison Miranda (28-2, 24 KO's) in a sensational 7th round knockout victory. From the very start, Miranda was no match for Pavlik, who seemed to punch Edison at will, hurting him numerous times in the bout and making him seem like a crude amateur. Miranda was knocked down twice in the 6th round and barely survived the round, thanks to the bell saving him. His mouth was bloody. In the 7th round, Pavlik quickly finished him, blasting Miranda into the canvas for the final time. The referee, Smoger, then stopped the bout, as Miranda lay bloody and beaten on the canvas.
