Sarritzu retains, Sanavia wins European titles!
02.06.07 - WBO #1 Andrea Sarritzu (26-3-4, 8 KO's) retains his European flyweight title against mandatory challenger Bernard Inom (17-1, 8 KO's) with a split draw (115-113, 113-115, 114-114) last Friday in Ajaccio, France. It was an entertainment fight with Sarritzu the better man in the central rounds and Inom in the last rounds.
In the chief support former WBC super middleweight champion Cristian Sanavia (40-3, 12 KO's) beat for split decision (115-116, 116-114, 117-112) the defendin champion David Gogiya (17-2, 4 KO's). It was an ugly fight where Gogiya did nothing to win the fight. Sanavia now wants a third fights with Marcus Beyer. The series is 1-1. For Salvatore Cherchi's OPI 2000 is the fourth European champion: Andrea Sarritzu (flyweight), Leva Kirakosyan (super featherweight), Cristian Sanavia (super middleweight) and Simona Galassi (female flyweight).
