Undefeated British contender Mark Thompson has landed a huge opportunity to face impressive South African champion, Vincent Vuma, for the WBC International Light Middleweight title this Friday, July 6 at Robin Park Center in Wigan, England..

The 26 year old from Manchester has been called a throwback fighter by his promoter Frank Maloney and now Thompson gets the chance to see if his constant hard work in the gym can pay off.
Having barely lost a round in his campaign as a pro thus far, Thompson has burned through a host of domestic opposition with an unrelenting, high pressure Manchester style made famous by Ricky Hatton and Jamie Moore.
The man Thompson will face on July 13, Vincent Vuma, is venturing forth from his homeland for the first time in his career as a reward for climbing to the top of the light middleweight division in the notoriously tough South African scene.
Hammer fisted Vuma has vowed to follow the footsteps of countryman Tshifhiwa Munyai and crush his English counterpart with clinical efficiency.
Despite the massive challenge that confronts him, the sturdy Thompson relishes the chance to make his mark on the world stage and with two fighters hell bent on proving themselves to the action-mad British fight public, nothing less than a barn burner can erupt on July 6.
A greatly anticipated matchup between the top two bantamweights in the UK, Ian Napa and Jason Booth, is also on the bill as the two master technicians square off for the vacant British title.
