“I expect him to be a dangerous opponent. He isn't the quickest, but he has an unwieldy style of boxing. However, I will be fully prepared to step into the ring and compile a victory bit by bit," commented the 35-year-old Krasniqi.
Luan Krasniqi has shown in his last fights that he has never given up his dream to become the next German heavyweight champion after Max Schmeling. He made history when he lost in a dramatic fight in September 2005 (on the 100th Birthday of Max Schmeling) to Lamon Brewster, at that time WBO heavyweight champion.
Krasniqi was leading clearly on all three scorecards by it came to an abrupt end with a Lucky Punch by Brewster in round 9.
Lamon Brewster will face Wladimir Klitschko for the IBF/IBO heavyweight world championship belts on Saturday in an intriguing rematch. In April 2004 Brewster brutally knocked out his conqueror Klitschko in the 5th round.
Another championship highlight with a 12 rounder at heavyweight will feature Alexander „Sascha“ Dimitrenko (25-0-0 (15)). The friendly 6’7" of Universum Box-Promotion will have his 4th appearance at the Color Line Arena in Hamburg. He will be challenged by the US American Malcolm "The Showstopper“ Tann (23-3-0 (12)) for the WBO Interconti title. “I will show him where the show ends, inside the ring! He wont stop me on my way t world title fight,” Dimitrenko states.
Three more heavyweights bouts are on the card including Denis Boytsov (17-0-0 (16), Gbenga Oloukun (11-0-0 (6)) and Vladimir Tereshkin (pro debut). The spotlight boxing hopefuls, Middleweight Sebastian Zbik (18-0-0 (7)) and super middleweight Eduard Gutknecht (8-0-0 (6)) as well as SES fighter Norman Schuster (12-1-0 (4)) are rounding up the great programme for the event.
