The Lion roars! Luan "The Lion" Krasniqi ready to pounce on Tony "The Tiger" Thompson!

luan krasniqi"The Lion" is ready to fight. About a week before the big collision against the Tony "The Tiger" Thompson, Luan Krasniqi has now finished the sparring phase of his preparations. In recent weeks, Krasniqi has been mostly secluded in his hometown of Rottweil with his trainer Torsten Schmitz and his best friend/training partner WBA interim world champion Firat Arslan.

The Universum heavyweight has has a arduous training camp in advance of the WBO eliminator and the opportunity for a world title shot that will follow.

When one observes Luan Krasniqi in training, it quickly becomes clear that he is totally focused on July 14th. Untiringly and with full concentration, he accomplishes every training task trainer Torsten Schmitz puts in front of him.

"I must and will win this this fight because then I get the chance to box for the world champion's belt," says Krasniqi. "Everything else is secondary to this goal."

Krasniqi has previously stated that he considers his opponent to be a disagreeably awkward foe, but the likeable Rottweil resident still emits confidence. "Every opponent is dangerous, but everybody is also hittable. You just must know how to do it."

And Luan Krasniqi leaves no doubt that he believes he knows how to do it, even if he wants to make no prediction. "In the ring we'll see how the fight goes. If it goes twelve rounds, I'm prepared for that. And as soon as I see the possibility, the end the fight early, then I will do it. But I won't talk trash. The victory on July 14 stands above all else. At the moment, Thompson is talking big. He'll get his verbal answer on Monday at the press conference, and then naturally on Saturday in the ring. That answer will hurt!"
