David Diaz Special Guest at Last Night's Chicago Fire Game
WBC Lightweight Champion David Diaz was the special guest on Saturday night, July 7th at the MLS Chicago Fire showdown with Toronto FC at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, IL, just outside of Chicago. Diaz signed autographs and took pictures with fans before the game and was awarded a Chicago Fire jersey prior to the game by midfielder Diego Gutierrez. He also participated in the coin toss with both team captains along with game officials..

Diaz is preparing for his showdown at “WAR FOR 4!” with three division world champion Erik Morales on August 4th at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, IL, just outside of Chicago.
The “WAR FOR 4!” world championship extravaganza is promoted by Bob Arum’s Top Rank Inc., in association with Chicago’s Dominic Pesoli’s 8 Count Productions and broadcast live on pay per view.

The pay-per-view broadcast will also feature the Chicago debut of undefeated welterweight contender Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr., son of the legendary three-division world champion and Mexican icon Julio Cesar Chavez as he takes on Indianapolis’ “Downtown” Louis Brown in a ten round bout.
Other fights on the pay per view include an IBF light flyweight world championship between champion Ulises Solis of Guadalajara, Mexico and
Rodel Mayol of Mandaue, Philipines as well as WBO Latino Super Bantamweight Champion Juan Manuel Lopez of Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico in a twelve round bout.
The Morales vs. Diaz pay-per-view telecast, beginning at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT, has a suggested retail price of $44.95, will be distributed by HBO Pay-Per-View and will be available to more than 61 million pay-per-view homes.
