"Macho" Hernandez Headlines Latin Explosion on June 4th at DePaul
24.05.04 - Dominic Pesoli's 8 Count Productions continues their hot streak of terrific boxing events as they present "Latin Explosion" on Friday, June 4th at the DePaul Athletic Center in Chicago. Tickets starting at $25 can be purchased in advance by calling 312-226-5800. The DePaul Athletic Center is located at 2323 N. Sheffield in the Lincoln Park section of Chicago. Doors open at 7pm, first bell is 8pm.

Headlining this wall to wall action packed card is the Illinois State Middleweight Championship bout featuring "Macho" Miguel Hernandez (10-1, 7KO's). Hernandez comes off his finest performance as he took a unanimous decision this past Saturday over tough veteran Luis Lopez in a bout that saw nonstop action from the opening bell.
Also appearing on the card in separate bouts are fan favorites junior middleweight "Classy" Freddie Cuevas (23-6-1, 16KO's) and welterweight KO artist Luciano "El Gallo Bravo" Perez (8-0, 7KO's).Cuevas, holder of KO wins over former world champions Wilfredo Rivera and Charles Murray looks to keep his name in the mix for the top contenders at 154 lbs. while Perez hopes to continue his thrilling early KO pattern which has been a staple of his young career.
Newcomer Trinidad Garcia (2-0), coming over two impressive decisions will also appear in a four round welterweight bout.
Making his pro debut is former amateur standout junior middleweight Rudy Cisneros in a scheduled four rounder. The aggressive Cisneros looks to get on the fast track in his pro career after winning numerous championships in the nonprofessional ranks.
