Hearns Stops Aguirre in 2nd round KO!

17.08.07 - Middleweight Ronald Hearns 15-0, 12 KOs), the son of legendary fighter Thomas ďHitmanĒ Hearns, stopped Edson Aguirre (12-8-1, 4 KOs) in a 2nd round KO on Wednesday night at the Frontier Field in Rochester, New york. Hearns, 28, knocked Aguirre down once in the first and then finished him off at the bell in the 2nd round, knocking him down with a two big right hands. Aguirre did little in the bout to distinguish himself, instead focusing on trying to defend against Hearnís right hands, which had created problems for the mismatched Aguirre from the opening moments of the fight.

At 6í3Ē 160 lbs, Hearns closely resembles his father both in looks and fighting style. His power, however, isnít as devastating as his fatherís once was, but itís close enough to make him a formidable fighter especially when combined with his height and reach.
